Ngl I like unusual people. The black sheep, the odd ducks, the eccentrics, the artists, the loners. People who actually think for themselves, the kind whose values are not swayed by groupthink. These people have beautiful souls.
Full transparency... I don't think l've ever experienced someone being deeply in love with me. I've been liked. I've been wanted. But I still dream about the kind of love where someone chooses me wholeheartedly every single day.

I’m coming to terms with the reality that there are always going to be periods in my life when, despite all my achievements, there is going to be an inexplicable void that I’m going to have to learn to sit with. I don’t think we were destined to experience replete fulfilment.
A man's loneliness is often invisible because people assume that if he has friends, a job and a family, he cannot possibly be lonely. But some men can spend an entire day talking to people and still have nobody they can call when everything becomes too much. They don't necessarily need someone to fix their problems. Sometimes they just want somewhere to be honest without feeling weak, judged or burdensome. The saddest part is that many men don't even know how to ask for that anymore.
Ngl, adult friendships require grace. People are very busy. People are healing. People are growing. People are taking time for self care just like you. Less communication isn’t less love. Check it not out
-gyms exist
-Coke Zero exists
-hot girls outnumber put-together dudes 2000 to 1
-you and your wife can get drunk at a dimly-lit steakhouse then smash all night without a condom
-you and your friends can hit the gym then smoke a joint at a Coldplay concert
There are people who live in wheelchairs. There are kids born with disabilities. No Prom, no Shoulder Presses, no sleepovers with their best friends staying up til 2AM watching Interstellar.
And you’re not SMASHING the gym like a GRATEFUL SAVAGE!? Eating healthy 90% of the time, calling your friends for no reason, CRUSHING it in your career, ASKING for the raise!? Asking out your crush making her your girlfriend then your wife!?
You’re spinning on a sphere in an infinite universe and the fact you’re alive is a 1 in 500 trillion miracle - you’re so lucky it’s absurd and you have nothing to lose :)
Life is fucking electric bro. Don’t fall for the doomer shit. Thats for losers and normies scared of their own shadows. Walk around like God sent you and smile at everyone you see. Spread light and abundance. Build things and take chances. This is the best time in history!
There’s a particular kind of rage nobody talks about.
Not the rage of being yelled at.
Not the rage of being betrayed.
The rage of having so much to say to someone and realizing there’s absolutely no point in saying any of it.
You replay the conversation in your head a hundred times.
You know exactly what hurt you.
You know exactly when things changed.
You know exactly which words were said, which boundaries were crossed, and why you’ve been carrying the weight of it for so long.
You could explain everything.
Every disappointment.
Every broken promise.
Every moment you felt dismissed, ignored, or misunderstood.
You have the entire speech ready.
But then you stop yourself.
Because deep down, you already know how the conversation will go.
They won’t hear the message.
They’ll hear one sentence.
They won’t focus on the pattern.
They’ll focus on a technicality.
They won’t try to understand your pain.
They’ll immediately start defending themselves from it.
And somehow, by the end of the conversation, you'll be explaining why you're hurt instead of them acknowledging what caused the hurt in the first place.
It’s exhausting.
Not because you lack the words.
Because you have too many words.
Words that will be interrupted.
Words that will be twisted.
Words that will be used against you.
Words that will be reduced to something they were never meant to mean.
So you stay silent.
Not because you’ve forgiven everything.
Not because you don’t care.
Not because it no longer matters.
You stay silent because you've finally realized that understanding cannot be forced.
Some people only listen to reply.
Some only listen to defend themselves.
Some only hear what protects their version of the story.
And no amount of explaining can create emotional maturity in someone who refuses to reflect.
That’s the hardest lesson.
Realizing that closure doesn’t always come from being heard.
Sometimes closure comes from accepting that certain people will never understand your perspective, never take accountability, and never give you the conversation you deserved.
You stop trying to win the argument.
You stop trying to prove your pain.
You stop trying to make someone understand what they have no desire to understand.
And that acceptance becomes its own kind of freedom.
Because eventually you realize that peace is worth more than the temporary satisfaction of saying everything you wanted to say.
Sometimes the loudest thing you'll ever do is walk away with an entire speech still sitting in your chest.
And sometimes that's not weakness.
Sometimes that's growth.
Every year I watch this specific documentary. If you’re not familiar, two French brothers, Jules and Gedeon Naudet, were shadowing a rookie firefighter in a lower Manhattan station for a documentary. The day of 9/11, they get separated but both have cameras. The footage is some of the most visceral of that day. And the connection and emotion of the brothers and the firefighters they had gotten to know is so powerful. https://t.co/Me7RiZwmt5
After 37 years of age as a man, I’ve finally come to realize that the only cure to depression is just leaving the house at every single possible opportunity no matter how badly you don’t want to.
Here is why...
