A long overdue re-introduction, for those who do not know me;
Hi, my name’s Ada Nduka Oyom, I’m the Founder and Executive Director of @SheCodeAfrica , a non profit social enterprise providing African women with access to digital education in tech. Through my role, I’ve successfully led the organization since inception in 2016 & over the past eight years, I’ve driven significant & rapid growth by securing multiple six-figure funding that’s enabled us expand our programs and operations to reach more women across Africa while establishing strategic global partnerships with leading companies like FedEx, Google, Glovo, Zoho, and many more.
Under my leadership, She Code Africa has impacted the lives of over 62,000 women by providing them with the skills and opportunities they need to succeed in the tech industry.
I’m also a seasoned Programs and Community manager, In my 10+ years of experience in the industry, I’ve led, designed and executed impactful developer programs reaching over 500,000 developers across EMEA, fostered inclusive communities with multiple corporations including global giants like Google, and driven industry change through strategic partnerships.
For the past week, we've been on the ground in Benin City, equipping women and girls in Edo State with digital skills to build the futures they deserve. 🤩💓

Deadline June 30. Apply at https://t.co/bd8n147B2O
Communities & me: 5&6
I've grown so much through @SheCodeAfrica , sharing this opportunity with our ladies in Owerri as @SCA_owerri Chapter Lead is the first in giving back.
Her journey into design began on a smartphone, where even the smallest task often felt slow, tedious, and frustrating.
In Q1 of 2026, we set out to bring the Laptop Scholarship to women across Abuja, Bayelsa, Osun, and Enugu States, and Angel was one of those lucky women, now she can move on to UI/UX with more ease and confidence.
Don’t let your limitations become walls that cage your creativity.
This made my week😇
I got to oversee a community partnership between @SheCodeAfrica and Authorrrity, seeing the women in my community get the visibility they deserve, and also getting featured as a Rising Star 💕

JUST IN..ONE OF THE ABDUCTED SCHOOL CHILDREN GONE..
Sadly, one of the abducted schoolchildren kidnapped in Oyo State, Ahoro Esinele, has reportedly died.
Days ago, photos of her in captivity showed she was already seriously ill. Last night, the kidnappers reportedly appeared on a TikTok live stream and announced her death, telling her mother they no longer had her child.
They may not have used a weapon, but captivity killed her. The hunger, beatings, cold nights, fear, and terrible conditions were too much for her young body to survive.
Her heartbroken mother said through tears: “I knew it. She was not very strong. On the day they were abducted, she only managed to go to school. Unfortunately, she never returned home.”
No parent should ever experience the pain of a child leaving for school and never coming back alive.
Another innocent life has been lost. Another family has been shattered.
Sometimes growth isn't always about talent or determination, sometimes, it's about access.
Meet Chukwudo Adazion Princess, an aspiring Data Analyst.
To continue building her skills, she often had to rely on borrowed laptops. While she remained committed to learning and growing, the inconsistency made it difficult to build momentum and pursue opportunities with the independence she desired.
As a beneficiary of the She Code Africa Laptop Scholarship Program earlier this year, Princess is finally able to build her career with the consistency she's always wanted.
We're excited to announce the beneficiaries of the She Code Africa Q2 Laptop Scholarship Program! 💃🥳💓
Congratulations to our selected beneficiaries. We hope this support creates more room for learning, building, and growth.
While we could not support every applicant this cycle, our commitment remains the same; to continue creating pathways that make technology more accessible for women and girls across Africa.
Thank you to everyone who applied and to our partner @HP for helping us continue expanding access for women in tech. ✨
I initially started writing this as a rant on my story, because honestly? Some days being a woman in leadership feels biologically exhausting!
Beyond the stress or workload, so many women are navigating constant hormonal, emotional, mental, and physical fluctuations while still being expected to show up consistently, lead effectively, make smart decisions, and hold everything together.
This article is probably one of the most honest things I’ve written in a while.
I have a feeling many women, especially founders and leaders, will deeply relate to it.

These are someone’s children
These are someone’s mothers
These are someone’s fathers
They are someone’s families

If all men in the world disappeared today, humanity would still continue because of sperm banks.
However, if all women disappears today, the human race would be eradicated.
You are not superior to the gender that can carry and bring new life.
