My hairdresser is in Ikorodu, and I schooled at Unilag; she was the only one who styled my hair. Wanted to make my hair today and was told she wasn't available. That means it won't be done till I come back to Ikorodu.

My barber moved to a new location two weeks ago and I tracked him there today.

While he was cutting my hair, he was getting calls from customers asking where he was and for directions to the new place.

Two even came while I was still there, and we were all joking about the whole move.

I found out one of them drives from GRA to NTA Road to cut his hair, and even when our barber changed location, he still drove down to the new place.

When men talk about the lengths they for to maintain one barber, women think it's a joke😂😂

Before the association of “you hate men” town criers starts crying, let me state this, I wasn’t brought up to hate men and I do not hate men, but I will definitely call out y’all’s bs when I see one.

Now let me tell you what my grandma did that I would definitely be doing. She had a very solid and good rapport with her son in-laws. A very strong bond o. The only son in-law she didn’t like was a useless man and she was against the union and disassociate herself from the man, mind you that my Aunt is still regretting it till today but she has to live with the consequences since she didn’t learn from her mother and didn’t listen to her advice!

Now let’s skip to the good path;

My dad as a son in-law was the person handling my grandma’s money. Yes, you heard that right. My dad was like her financial advisor and auditor. He will come around on Fridays to go help her deposit her money in the bank after doing the numbers. Na BAGCO cement bag he dey use help carry her money to the bank.

My second Aunt’s husband was the one in charge of building her first house! She only authorizes payment needed for building materials, while my dad goes to the bank to withdraw whatever she has approved!

The one that would have been my third Aunt’s husband if not for what later happened between them, even as a boyfriend/fiancee whichever one, was the one in charge of everything electronics and plumbing. Pipes, WC, Rims, TV’s, Wiring, name it.

That’s definitely not someone that hates men, she wasn’t even bitter. They cheated her small small here and there but she honestly didn’t mind as long as they did a good job. She will even use it to joke around them.

So if you’re saying “your mothers or grand mothers” tolerated bullshit be specific, cos mine didn’t. She LEFT! She LEFT not just Once but Twice and she didn’t suffer and neither do I have anything to be ashamed of in her story or how she lived her life.
