From @TheAthleticFC: Lionel Messi and Argentina are in the World Cup semifinals — but, once again, not without controversy. A bizarre “mistaken identity” red card against Switzerland's Breel Embolo was the main talking point.

🚨 Throwback to this Argentina Copa America Game. Ref gave a decision in favour of Paraguay and Messi furiously told the Ref:
"You're playing with fire, you're playing with fire"
Was he threatening the Ref 🤯
The easiest way to expose a Barça or Messi fan in an argument is to let them make their point, then use that exact same argument against their own players. Suddenly, the football debate becomes a personal attack. 😂😂 like it’s crazy o.

Comment croire la FIFA qui a fait du mensonge sa communication + un sentiment de suspicion fort AU SEIN des fédérations que les grosses nations ont des petits avantages (tirage au sort, VAR...)
Keep the faith !

Ghana's sports journalists who made to the world cup were sponsored by the Ghana Football Association
We are not safe as a country if journalists are compromising on their assignments.
Since the Black Stars' abysmal performance at the FIFA World Cup, almost 95% of our sports journalists have gone unusually quiet. That silence is worrying.
The same voices that dominated the airwaves before the tournament now seem reluctant to ask the difficult questions. Ghana football cannot move forward without honest scrutiny, accountability, and fearless journalism.
This is not the time for silence. It is the time to demand answers. The millions of Ghanaians who support the Black Stars deserve transparency about what went wrong, what lessons have been learned, and what concrete steps are being taken to rebuild our football.
Accountability should never end when the final whistle blows. The conversation must continue until Ghana football is back on the right path.

The problem is that FIFA routinely uses lies in its communications – from the attendance figures for the first round to inflated promises of economic benefits and a whole host of other things (claiming to combat child abuse whilst allowing a coach officially suspended by FIFA in the DRC to continue working with teenagers without any repercussions; when you lie about child abuse, you can lie about anything)
It is therefore difficult to take their word alone as a guarantee – especially given the footage shown by Fox
One of the respected Christian fathers of our nation invited me to his residence at Airport Hills for a very important meeting regarding the upcoming National Day of Demonstration on the theme: "We Are Taking Back Our Football."
For nearly two hours, he asked me difficult but important questions:
- Who is behind this movement?
- Who is sponsoring it?
- What is the real agenda?
I answered truthfully: No one is behind me. No one is sponsoring me. This is a citizen-led call for accountability, transparency, and good governance in Ghana football.
After our conversation, he prayed earnestly for me and committed the entire process into God's hands.
Fellow Ghanaians, this demonstration should come on, and it must come on—peacefully, lawfully, and with discipline.
I have come to appreciate that this journey is not an easy one. There are many challenges along the way. But by God's grace, we will remain focused on our goal: taking back our football through peaceful democratic means.
