🚨Police Reform🚨
On Bhayangkara Day, the Reform for Polis Coalition reminds us: public trust is not built by slogans, but by justice, accountability, and respect for human rights.
Violence, impunity, and lack of transparency show that real police reform is urgently needed.

Saat garap investigasi isu Sambo, Kanjuruhan, Halte Sarinah dll outputnya selalu video explainer. Saya coba pendekatan lain di kasus Andrie Yunus. Idenya simpel: Kalau penyidiknya gak bisa kerja, kita buat publik aja jadi penyidiknya.

✍️The Investigation by Project Multatuli (@projectm_org) points to the involvement of more than 16 individuals and personnel from all three TNI branches (Army, Navy, and Air Force).
Yet the military trial focused only on four perpetrators, leaving unanswered who planned and commanded the operation.

🇮🇩The acid attack on Andrie Yunus is a test for justice in #Indonesia. Lenient sentences are not enough.

🌹With profound sorrow, we join countless mothers and grandmothers around the world in mourning the passing of Lidia “Taty” Almeida.
Her struggle was never only for her own child, but for thousands of victims of enforced disappearance whose names, stories, and futures were taken from them, and for the families who continue to seek truth and justice.

🚨Breaking!🚨
Students holding peaceful protests in Jakarta are facing obstruction from the police and the military.
The police should protect, not suppress, people who peacefully exercise their right to protest.
The military should never be involved in controlling peaceful civilian demonstrations.
Indonesia’s army modernisation is increasingly centred on territorial expansion across the archipelago.
As of early 2026, existing and new battalions are distributed across Indonesia’s Military Regional Commands (KODAMs), reflecting Jakarta’s focus on national sovereignty, land borders, outlying islands and remote areas.

🚨 BREAKING🚨
The military court has sentenced four defendants in the acid attack case against Andrie Yunus:
• Defendant 1: 3 years in prison and dismissed from military service.
• Defendant 2: 2 years and 6 months in prison and dismissed from military service.
• Defendant 3: 2 years in prison and remains in military service.
• Defendant 4: 1 year and 6 months in prison and remains in military service.
This military trial was flawed and failed to follow proper procedures. The attack involved more than 16 perpetrators, but only four people were prosecuted and put on trial.
1⃣We argues that the lenient sentencing demand against the defendants reinforces concerns that the military justice system continues to protect military personnel and fails to meet the public’s sense of justice.
2⃣The absence of any request to dismiss the defendants from military service raises serious questions about the TNI’s commitment to holding its members accountable and strengthens suspicions of institutional protection.
3⃣TAUD maintains that this case highlights the urgent need for military justice reform, including limiting military court jurisdiction so that ordinary criminal offenses committed by TNI personnel are tried in civilian courts.
4⃣TAUD also opposes the prosecutor’s request to destroy the evidence, arguing that it could hinder ongoing investigations, obscure the full facts of the case, and prevent the identification of all parties responsible for the attack on Andrie Yunus.
Overall, the case exposes structural weaknesses within the military justice system in handling ordinary criminal offenses and underscores the need for comprehensive military justice and security sector reform to ensure accountability, transparency, and equal access to justice.
The Military Prosecutor’s Lenient Sentencing Demand Confirms the Mockery of Justice in the Andrie Yunus Case: The Time for Military Judicial Reform Can No Longer be Delayed!
During the trial of four defendants in the acid attack against Andrie Yunus before Military Court II-08 Jakarta, the Military Prosecutor requested prison sentences of two years and six months for each defendant, along with orders concerning the handling of evidence. In response to these sentencing demands, we present several observations.
