The standard Israeli—and American—response to their atrocities: Deny, lie, obfuscate, and then when sufficient time has passed, quietly acknowledge, knowing that you’ll have impunity anyway, claim there’s an “investigation” that never goes anywhere, and keep moving on to the new atrocity. They did the same thing with the grossly underestimated number of those murdered in Gaza. For decades, virtually every Palestinian grievance has gotten denied and dismissed only to be mutely acknowledged later.
