Entering month 6 of the Mamdani mayorship of NYC and Robberies are down 11%, Retail theft is down 19%, and Murder is down an astounding 21%.
And he did so without "Adding 5000 new cops" to the streets. Instead, he's invested in public safety with free childcare, accessible infrastructure, and better funded schools and libraries. He's proven once again that if we want safer communities, we must invest in People—not Punishments.
Follow the money on this one. It is rotten to the core.
The Pentagon just lent $620,000,000 to a tiny North Carolina startup called Vulcan Elements. The company is two years old.
It had fewer than 50 employees.
And three months before the deal was announced, Donald Trump Jr.’s venture firm quietly took a stake in it.
Here is the part the administration tried to bury.
Of the dozens of companies the Pentagon was weighing, Vulcan was the only deal initiated by a top White House aide. That aide was Peter Navarro, a close friend of Trump Jr. The order came down to move fast.
One official put it plainly: The call came from the White House. We have to get this done.
Staff worked late nights to push it through in weeks. Deals like this normally take many months of vetting. And when it closed, Vulcan’s valuation jumped from about 200 million dollars to roughly 2 billion.
A windfall for the investors, including the president’s son.
This is public money. Your money.
Routed through the Pentagon to enrich the president’s family and their friends. The Bush administration’s own chief ethics lawyer called it corruption we pay for.
And there is more coming.
A drone parts company Trump Jr. holds a stake in is also under Pentagon review.
This is not a one-off. It is a pattern. The president’s family is treating the federal Treasury like a private bank, and the bill lands on every taxpayer.

JD Vance just ended his presidential exploratory election committee. Now, his mentor, Peter Thiel, has fled the U.S., for right wing Argentina. But not before declaring that he might have overstated AI’s impact on society, particularly on employment.
Something bad is happening.
Under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, Black unemployment reached its lowest level ever recorded in history. Now under trump, our voting rights are under attack, he’s ordered museums to change the way they cover slavery, he orchestrated the largest mass firing of Black workers in history, and has drastically cut funding to HBCUs. He is leading and encouraging a war against our community.
CEOs are quietly realizing the AI replacement plan has a problem.
Two problems, actually.
One: the token costs for running AI agents are now exceeding what they were paying the employees they fired.
Two: when the tokens run out, the AI stops. Just stops. No continuity. No workaround. Just a spinning wheel where your workforce used to be.
You fired humans to save money and bought a subscription that bills you into a corner.
The employees you let go knew what to do when things broke.
The AI just invoices you for the outage.
And then there’s the permission problem nobody wants to talk about.
To do its job, the AI agent needs access. Full access. Your systems, your patents, your contracts, your future plans. Everything you spent years building, handed over to a process that has no loyalty, no discretion, and no skin in the game.
You didn’t hire a replacement.
You gave a stranger with no soul the keys to everything you own.
Enjoy.
MAGA: “If you’re here legally, you have nothing to worry about.”
Also MAGA: “Just comply and show your ID.”
The reality:
A U.S. citizen. Born in Colorado. Mother of four. Stopped in Lafayette, Louisiana. Shackled. Detained in an ICE facility anyway.
She showed agents her state-issued ID and Social Security card. ICE reportedly called them “fake,” handcuffed her, chained her ankles, interrogated her, and transported her to a detention center. She was released hours later only after legal intervention.
The lesson is not “show your papers.”
The lesson is that papers don’t protect you when power decides not to read them.
This is not “law and order.”
This is state abuse.

Just days after scientists found that bee venom can kill cancer cells, the Trump administration is set to close the nation’s primary bee research laboratory.
Explain it to me like I'm 5:
Cuba has significant natural wealth -- sugar, tobacco, nickel.
American corporations extracted that wealth while ordinary Cubans lived in poverty.
Cubans revolute and kick the U.S. out.
The U.S. places a 67-year embargo on them, forcing them into deeper poverty. Then tightens it with a specific embargo on oil.
Now threatens military action if Cuba doesn't let us back in "to help the Cuban people."
If we want to help them, why don't we start by lifting the embargo?
For those who don't know, Gadaffi's Great Man Made River Project was in the process of re-greening the entire Libyan Sahara and part of the Sahel using vast underground fossil water reserves.
So when the White People Coalition Army arrived in 2011, they bombed the project sites and even its pipe factory so that the Sahara and North Sahel would remain poor, underpopulated, and eternally dependent on food imports.
Little history lesson.
As I get older. I realized how evil white journalism is. It's crazy how they made an entire video about the food they have to eat for sensationalism, but no actual reason for how they got here in the first place and who is doing this to them.
This was a problem on my street until my neighbor got fed up, pulled footage from his yard camera and posted flyers around with a picture of a woman who didn’t clean up after her dog that just said “don’t be like this person”
Entire neighborhood gagged. Public shaming is free and effective
