There is no use dooming about upcoming El Nino event.
Even in a failed monsoon, there will be lot of rainy days, even heavy rain days in your city, locality. Just like there would be sunny days even in an excess Monsoon.
Maximum effort should be done to implement Rainwater Harvesting and capture the rainwater, so that atleast there is no drinking water crisis next year.
It's not too late. Monsoon will revive in another 10 days. Capture as much as rainwater as possible
This was expected as DKS took over as CM
MPs from Kerala have started to lobby for Lifting night ban in Bandipura.
@DKShivakumar should tell his view on this and make sure he ignores these type of request from KL.

mumbai has around 45 days of water left and is experiencing its driest june in 20 years
there is not a single season in this country that does not bring catastrophe.
in summer, people die from heatwaves. in the monsoon, people die from flooding, failing drainage infrastructure, and urban planning failures, while low rainfall leaves farmers struggling, reservoirs dry up, and worsen water shortages. in winter, aqi reaches hazardous levels. throughout the year, bridges collapse, trains are a fight for survival during which many can die, and preventable disasters keep killing people.
so what exactly is functioning as it should?
meanwhile, the state continues to pursue projects that worsen the climate crisis (cutting more trees to build metros & flyovers, the nicobar project, more data centres) environmental justice is probably just some activist bullshit to the ministers eating up our money to fund their children's lifestyle in the west

@WobbleSeam +accessible. I'm only worried about the kind of statements sam altman is making. If all of them think the same way, it looks bleak. I hope people will learn to protest before the rich destroy societal order.
@WobbleSeam That doesn't equate to innovation anyway and with india, I don't think we should worry about tech innovation in this space, we are far gone.
Lot of external factors with AI and it can go horribly wrong anytime. Idt AGI and all of that should be a concern now, it won't be +
