Permashilling only one coin over a long period of time is the gold standard. Nothing else mirrors conviction — or rather, Pure Belief — quite like it. After nearly six years in this space, I came across one thing. The term HODL. I first encountered it in 2019, back when I bought my first fraction of Bitcoin. I nearly lost everything I had made back to the space, but in return I gained something far more valuable: A new way of seeing the philosophy of HODL. The essence of it is surprisingly simple. Community is wealth. This truth is as old as communities themselves. Long before markets. Before nations. Perhaps even before civilization itself. What keeps humanity — and every other species — alive is the feeling of belonging to something greater than oneself. This may be one of the deepest and most deeply programmed feelings in all of life. It may fracture. It may fade. Yet it always seems to return. To a renewed life cycle. The Nostalgia Cycle. A discovered phenomenon, expressed through a tokenized nostalgic community with the goal of rewiring deeply programmed emotional patterns through nostalgia. The community I describe is called y2k or y2kdotcom The community which grows the roots for the next life cycle of modern civilization.
