Grinch arrested for breaching bail, stealing Christmas cheer
The Windsor Police Service has once again taken the holiday’s most notorious suspect into custody after the Grinch was allegedly caught breaching his bail conditions and returning to his old festive habits.
Officers were called to 6767 Whoville Plaza earlier this week after reports of a green, grouchy suspect attempting to steal a Christmas tree, several stockings, and what witnesses described as an unreasonable amount of candy canes.
Investigators quickly determined the suspect was already on strict release conditions following last year’s highly publicized holiday heist involving a stolen gift intended for a child on Santa’s Nice List.
Those conditions reportedly included staying out of Whoville, avoiding all holiday events, and refraining from Christmas-related mischief of any kind.
The Grinch was located a short time later after reportedly indulging in far too many candy canes, which ultimately slowed his getaway.
He was arrested without further incident and is now facing new charges of:
•Theft under $5,000
•Failure to comply with release order
•Possession of stolen holiday spirit (unofficial but obvious)
All stolen items were safely recovered and returned in time for Christmas.
We’re curious: what do you think the Grinch’s holiday punishment should be this time?
