A B2B Networking meet was organised by CGI, Johannesburg for the HEPC delegation, visiting SA for “Decorex 2026 ". 14 Indian entities are participating in this year’s Decorex Exhibition.

CG also advised both sides to tap huge opportunities in the handloom and business sector.

Stepping up partnership with states.

Gauteng is South Africa’s economic powerhouse, generating over a third of the national GDP with an annual economic output of more than R2.4 trillion. India’s investment in this province is approx $ 6.6 billion USD. Gauteng is the hub of economic activity with presence of large number of blue chip Indian companies, in this province, it is time to further strengthen and step up India’s strong business partnership with Gauteng.

Had an interesting meeting with Acting CEO @flySAA_US and urged him to start direct flights between India and South Africa. Highlighted the growing trade and investment relations between the two countries and briefed him on increasing tourist arrivals from India in SA. It’s time we fly from Mumbai to Johannesburg before the cricket fever starts in next year in SA.

Devotees participate in this divine ceremonial marriage of Lord Venkateshwara (Vishnu)with Goddess Padmavathi (Lakshmi) to receive blessings for prosperity, marital harmony, family happiness, good fortune, and spiritual upliftment.

South Africa emerged as 11th largest Engineering Export destination for India in FY 2026. This shows the robust partnership enjoyed between India and South Africa in Engineering exports.

This also shows there is lot more do in this area. We are committed to work closely with @eepcindia & @DoC_GoI to see how to take this partnership grow further in coming years.
