@brisbanecityqld@QueenslandWalks@space4cyclingbn@ama_qld Ann St 11am. 50c fares are great But struck by people waiting for Glider near James st not at the stop. All IN THE SHADE. All got in back door - lucky a double + there was a tree. It’s hot. More shade at bus stops please
@AlboMP Your government is our government please. The Australian government. Govern and make the best decisions for the whole community. Very slippery slope when you think it is ‘my government’. Sad it has happened already.
@brisbanecityqld@space4cyclingbn Being stuck in one transport mode really limits options. Lots discussion about Intelligent TS - this assumes you have significant public transport systems, ped and cycle modal share. So can we quickly transform? More roads will not help
Our LM keeps talking about other levels of government funding more road widenings.
All the while we are still waiting for BCC to fund & start construction of the North Brisbane Bikeway, Stage 5 after years of delays!
@intertraffic@brisbanecityqld@space4cyclingbn@_PHAA_ At Intertraffic Amsterdam.Too many men in transport & no inclusion of health in discussions. Northern Europe so different to many other parts of the world. Australia’s lack of rail a huge liability in mobility transformation
@brisbanecityqld@space4cyclingbn@ryansrumblings Paris has transformed - why do we not want a city less reliant on cars? Can we not imagine a greener cleaner inclusive city in 10 years time? Politicians you need to lead the way
@BrisbaneWestBUG@vickhoward @bne_lordmayor Please get this ad taken down. Quite offensive. Have you forgotten your BCC uses cycling in so much other promo material for developments etc?????
London’s cycleways now see an astonishing 1.3 million trips each day; a third of the Underground (for a fraction of the investment).
With half of its ten million residents regularly cycling or wanting to start, a long-term shift in policy has clearly induced a shift in behavior.
@APCSummit@WePublicHealth@bicycle_network Good to see gender balance in our major city mayors. Melbourne working with google to give us the coolest way to walk to our destinations
@space4cyclingbn@brisbanecityqld Can we do this for Brisbane? - sadly I suspect wouldn’t animate very dramatically. Guess we’d get the bike lanes down the motorways. Shame job BCC
The spectacular growth of protected bike lanes in New York is more awe inducing than any interstate expansion. It only looks inevitable in retrospect. We need to grow these tendrils of street life to fill the city map.
@AustralianLabor You are in govt fix the refugee mess. Our treatment of refugees continues the appalling. Possibly few here because we expect our govts to have some compassion
