Here we will be following the development and construction of the King Power Stadium and surrounding complex

As previously mentioned, expansion will be of the North, East, and South stand. The North and South stands will receive a few new rows of seats at the top of the stands and a roughly 2x larger concourse. New turnstiles will be added to all 3 stands as well.

@RFox55_ No updates on the project atm. Not seen any new documents or anything to give estimates for construction start.

@planty2221 Stadium, fan zone and fan store are definitely the priorities but with the other arena being connected I assume it will go up at the same time

I got my location slightly wrong. The plans for the new 40000 stadium were for Bede Island South.

Fun fact now we've got the approval.

Before King Power was constructed, Leicester City had plans for a 40,000 seater stadium on the opposite side of the River Soar.

After plans fell through the club brought the land we now know as King Power Stadium

The stadium as many will know is very similar to Saint Mary's the home of Southampton.

The reason for this was time and money. The designs were already there and the cost was substantial cheaper.

@IainW198 I do believe its getting completely redone as it sits where the indoor venue is placed. Can't find any images which show that side unfortunately.

As it stands I believe the designs of all structures are unchanged.

If anything comes out about design differences I will be sure to post about them.

I've seen multiple people asking, "When will construction start?" and "When will it open?"

The short answer is, I don't know.

Far too many things have gone against us during this project to have any idea.

Of course, I will be looking for any information regarding the timeline
