I’m starting to believe that the size of the organization you can effectively lead is directly related to the amount of criticism you can endure without losing your joy and love for people.
"For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, instructing us to deny godlessness and worldly lusts and to live in a sensible, righteous, and godly way in the present age, while we wait for the blessed hope..." Titus 2:11-13
“We’ve told young couples they must first have financial security, stable careers, and a picture-perfect ceremony before they can make a covenant commitment before God. We have it backwards...we need to invest less in weddings and more in marriages.” https://t.co/UlqA76Okiq
I'm drastically changing my relationship with technology going into 2025. If you want a closer relationship with God and other people, I strongly encourage you to join me on this journey.
@martensmatt1 I just finished reading your book, Matt. Thanks for your hard work, excellent writing, and insightful suggestions. I learned so much and wanted to express my gratitude. Blessings.
You can't separate your religious views from your political opinions (everyone brings their religious worldview into their politics), but you can be Christlike in how you treat those who disagree with you.
"To experience ongoing spiritual renewal, Christians must commit themselves to pleasing God more than man. It is better to receive the criticism of the crowd and the approval of God than to receive the applause of the crowd and the disapproval of God." https://t.co/fR1s32uPGf
"Legalism is a real spiritual danger for God’s people. We don’t want to fall into the trap of relying on our good works to save us or human traditions as the standard for righteousness. But an even greater danger for God’s people is indifference toward God’s commands."
