This is not just a song…it’s an anthem for life.
“I'm at peace with the measure of my worth.
I've freed myself from every doubt, every disguise.
Even if we win the world’s approval, peace will not come this way.
Whatever is yours will find its way to you by any means possible
Let your heart understand this truth and Jhoom, Jhoom, immerse yourself in joy.”
I’ve heard many versions of it, including Abida Parveen’s famous rendition…
This one stands out.
I don’t know who the soulful singer is, but she has brought peace to this saturday…I applaud her and thank her.

Very shameful and disturbing 😔
What happened in Bhopal is not just an incident of misconduct by a TTE, but a reflection of a deeply insensitive mindset where “coach rules” are treated as more important than basic humanity.
A 75-year-old elderly woman, afraid of missing her train, mistakenly boarded the AC coach of the Kushinagar Express. She was neither carrying a weapon nor committing any crime. But the TTE seemingly behaved as if he was above everyone else.
Clearing the coach may be part of duty, but twisting the arm of an elderly woman and punching her in the face can never be part of any training or discipline.
If this is what “discipline” looks like, then at which platform did humanity get left behind?
More painful than a broken tooth is the reality that even today, some people treat a uniform not as a symbol of service, but as a license to display power.
My favourite moment from last night was when the audience at the Royal Albert Hall, including Prince William, sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to Sir David Attenborough 🎶🥹💚
@chennaipolice_ a spate of incidences in 18th Cross Street, Basant Nagar, stealing, drunken behaviour, loitering. Today a drunk man entered the building & ran away as somebody came out. Please increase patrolling in this area.
This is a photograph of me at eight years old. I remember that jumper clearly. I had dragged my dad into GAP, straight to the boys’ section, and begged for it instead of the girly blouse that had been suggested.
At that age, I refused to wear any colour other than blue. I pleaded to have my hair cut short, properly short, like the boys. My parents would not let it be shorter than a bob. I am sparing you the photograph. It was truly dreadful.
From about the age of three, I was unmistakably a tomboy. I asked for toy soldiers and a football shirt for Christmas (Chelsea- Blue is the colour!). I was the only girl invited to a friend’s football party. I was the only girl who turned up dressed as a prince to a ‘princes and princesses’ party.
I read and wrote obsessively. I gravitated towards The Lord of the Rings, spy novels, all the familiar ‘boy’ stories. In every story, in every game, I imagined myself as a male protagonist. His name was always Theo, the boy version of my own.
If someone had told me then that it was possible to actually BE a boy, that there were drugs I could take to transform myself and my body, I would have seized the opportunity. And deeply regretted it later.
As I moved through my teenage years, I began to realise something crucial. I was perfectly capable of loving all of these things while still being a girl. I had despised the words ‘girl’ and ‘woman’ because I had bundled them together with every restrictive feminine stereotype I had encountered.
Today, I would have almost certainly been described as having ‘gender incongruence’ or ‘dysphoria’. And on that basis, I might have been offered medical interventions that risk infertility and amount to chemical castration. Then when I’d been brainwashed enough, I might have been pushed towards a double mastectomy or cross-sex hormones. The Pathways trial MUST BE STOPPED. #StopTheTrial
A Christian actor Innocent gave me 400 Rs for my marriage & Muslim actor Mammootty gave me 2000 Rs to buy the mangalsutra to tie around my wife's neck! religion at the end of the day is humanity - says actor Sreenivasan!
Kerala's unity in diversity !

Let me make this crystal clear:
A child cannot consent.
A child cannot be a prostitute.
A child cannot be ‘asking for it’.
A child is NEVER at fault for the sexual abuse they suffered. It was never our fault.
How times change: the BJP which opposed the UPA’s Civil Nuclear Deal as a ‘sell out’ to the US in 2008/2010 has now passed a bill that will push for private participation in nuclear energy with much diluted supplier liability . Exactly what the Trump admin wants! Net net: where you stand in politics depends on where you sit. 🙏
The brilliant Christian nurse Jennifer Melle, whose case we're supporting, joined us and many other groups to protest the puberty blocker trial. #StopTheTrial
Believe it or not, that’s a real research priority that made it through ethics review, funding approval, and publication.
Women’s pain is routinely underfunded, under-researched, and reframed through lenses that center male perception rather than female suffering. When a disease that causes internal bleeding and debilitating pain is treated as an aesthetic curiosity, it tells you exactly whose comfort the system is built around.
This is what people mean when they talk about medical misogyny. Not conspiracies. Not exaggeration. Just priorities laid bare.
So yes, when women are in pain, why is the system still more interested in how they look for men than how they heal?
If you spot any of these in a debate, online or in person, that may be your cue to politely find the exit.
Think of this as your field guide to avoiding arguments with fools...
In Scotland, if you're a bloke caught with 100,000+ sickening CSA images you can walk free after a short court appearance
If you're a woman who raises child safeguarding concerns, you will be stalked & vilified for years & your bosses will relentlessly try to end your career
It takes a lot to really shock me. I get pissed off about horrible things, but they don’t really shock me. This does. This paper in the Journal of Medical Ethics draws a comparison between female genital mutilation and “gender affirming” surgeries — and uses the latter as justification for the former.
To be clear: after pushing an entire generation of gay and autistic children to volunteer for genital mutilation, these people are using that as an excuse to cut up little girls‘ vulvas with neither consent nor the presence of a medical professional, let alone any kind of pain management.
And just like that, gender ideology has become justification for the most barbaric custom on planet Earth.
