2020-2025 - 140 2/3 total

Gives a lot of context to his recent struggles. He simply has never been asked to pitch this much.

@Flashy_lights @DexsTweets I would love Vahn Lackey as well, but I’m operating under the assumption that only one of them makes it to #3.

The good thing about having multiple SS is that they can move to other IF positions capably. Get talented options first, figure out who plays SS and who moves later

@Flashy_lights @DexsTweets He’s absolutely a big leaguer. All I’m saying is, from a roster construction standpoint, they could use more IF talent. Even with Culpepper, there are still 3 other spots to fill and the guys they have now should not stop them from adding a player like Cholowsky.

@Flashy_lights @DexsTweets This is before we even get to their ability to develop pitchers out of seemingly nowhere. I have confidence in any given draft or season they can find an arm or two. We have yet to see that ability on the position player side. Take the proven up the middle stud when you can!

Plus veterans like Ryan, Lopez, and Ober controlled through next season. Even if they trade from that group, likely at least 1 arm coming back.

@Flashy_lights @DexsTweets Can he play a passable SS? Most likely. Would you be better off having a plus SS that pushes Culpepper to be an excellent 3B? Absolutely. I just can’t see the Twins passing on an elite SS prospect to add another young arm to an already deep and talented group.

@Flashy_lights @DexsTweets Culpepper is a great prospect and someone that I’m very excited to see debut. I have a lot of confidence in his bat. However, the sticking point for him is his glove and I think it’s fair to say you’d prefer to have a stronger defensive SS that pushes him to 2B or 3B

-Cole Sands goes on the IL with a forearm strain
-Emmanuel Rodriguez re-injures his thumb
-Walker Jenkins sustains an AC joint sprain

Banda hasn’t pitched since the 13th and tonight the #MNTwins chose to throw Morris and Acton multiple innings rather than Banda in a tight game.
