I deliver for Zomato and I got a real weird order.

I am a delivery partner with Zomato since few weeks now . It’s in between job to pay bills till I get something permanent. I had a great job but lost it due to my bastard ex. When I broke up with him , he leaked our private moment all over internet.Not only did I get fired,every place I got hired,he sends these videos there and I was out again . But I am a hustler , I am sure this will pass soon . Till then it’s me and my red food box .

Mostly my experience have been good delivering food . I stick to mostly my area so I feel comfortable. If I feel that I am delivering to someone influential , I also give them my CV . Things have been smooth so far .

But today I got a weird request . The order was dhahi bhalle and chole bhature from this place at Sarojini Nagar . Great food . But the order instruction was weird - “The door is open , please deliver in the bedroom”

This was really weird . I messaged back saying that the best I can do is open the door and keep it inside the door but I will not come inside the house.

The person messaged back. “Pls I am 80 year old woman .My son could not get home in time so asked me to order. I am bedridden and can’t walk that much. I am very hungry. I will tip extra.

Against my better judgement, I decided to deliver. Like she has mentioned, the door was open so I entered inside. The bedroom door was open and there was an old women lying on the bed . She was coughing and looked really old . I heaved a sigh of relief .

Soon she started gobbling down the food . I waited for the tip .

She waited for a second and then pointed towards the drawer and said - “Tip”

I opened the drawer . There was no money there but photographs of my ex !

“Why did you leave him , you bitch” . The old lady growled . “ You didn’t deserve him”

I knew I could not act scared now . I looked into her eyes . “Who the hell are you and how do you know that asshole ex of mine??

“Because I am HIM !” . She laughed throwing away the shawl covering his face and body and pulled away the wig .

He pulled out the knife from under the bed and jumped at me .

Just then - he fell down with blood vomiting for his mouth . Foam started coming from his mouth and his body started turning blue and cold . He looked at me - puzzled .

I smiled -

“You think I would not know ???There is only one weirdo in this world who orders dhahi bhalle without red chutney and chole bhature without pyaz and achar !”

My version of red ridding hood …..
