A K9 appeared to be suspicious of White House Correspondents' Dinner shooting suspect Cole Allen but was pulled away just seconds before Allen charged through security.

The dog was seen following Allen through a doorway but was pulled back by its handler.

Immediately after the handler turned away with the dog, Allen was seen charging through security.

Avriana F. Allen, 27, of Washington, D.C., is the sister of Cole Tomas Allen, the 31-year-old Torrance, California teacher identified by authorities as the suspect in the April 25, 2026, shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Public records confirm the sibling relationship through shared mother Kathleen A. Allen and prior family address in Torrance.

Avriana worked as Full Stack Web Developer at CalMatters, a left-leaning nonprofit California newsroom, from 2021 until her recent layoff. In her LinkedIn post, she noted building the interactive California Voter Guides for the 2021 Recall Election, 2022 general election, and 2024 presidential election. These tools provided explanations of voting deadlines, ballots, statewide propositions, key races, candidate positions, and district lookups.

There is no public evidence that Avriana Allen attended the 2026 White House Correspondents’ Dinner, received press credentials for the event, or had any involvement in or prior knowledge of the shooting.

Claiming I was hired “with no background check” is just a lie. It’s a complete fabrication. I held a security clearance, while protecting Democrat and Republican presidents, for over ten years. And all of the background check requirements for my current position as Deputy Director of the FBI have been met. Those are simple facts.

ICE law enforcement did NOT target a daycare and were only at this location because the female illegal alien fled inside.

Here is the real story:

Officers attempted to conduct a targeted traffic stop of this female illegal alien from Colombia.

Officers attempted to pull over this vehicle, which was registered to a female illegal alien, with sirens and emergency lights, but the male driver refused to pull the vehicle over.

Law enforcement pursued the vehicle before the assailant sped into a shopping plaza where he and the female passenger fled the vehicle. They ran into a daycare and attempted to barricade themselves inside the daycare—recklessly endangering the children inside.

The illegal alien female was arrested inside a vestibule, not in the school.
Upon arrest, she lied about her identity.

The vehicle is registered to in her name, though she claims that she didn’t know the man who was driving her car and just picked him up from a bus stop. 

Facts including criminality and information on the male assailant are forthcoming and we will update the public with more information as soon as it becomes available.
