When x-ray is done, review to confirm diagnosis of round metallic foreign bodies. Zoom in. #ButtonBatteries have a double-ring or halo sign. Coins have a homogenous appearance to the edge of the metallic object. Do NOT rely on lateral view alone.
When lodged in the body, #ButtonBatteries can cause significant tissue injury in as little as 2 hours. Serious injuries can occur if they are not removed quickly. https://t.co/HJiVBDBWeL
