Statement from INFB President Randy Kron regarding the Supreme Court’s decision on Sackett v. EPA.
"Indiana Farm Bureau is pleased that the Supreme Court, in Sackett v. EPA, has narrowed the reach of the ineffective federal clean water regulations. This is a victory for Indiana farmers who, for far too long, have had to deal with complicated and overreaching regulations on their farms. This ruling narrows the jurisdictional reach of the Clean Water Act and protects private property rights."
Senate Bill 451, the carbon sequestration pilot program, will be heard in committee Monday. Jeff Cummins, INFB’s director of state government relations, provides an update encouraging members to contact their legislators.
Note: The meeting is now scheduled for 9 a.m. #INLegis
