- This is to ensure that social security contributions are made only in the worker's home country, avoiding the need to pay in both countries

- The Government says it already has similar reciprocal agreements - known as "double contribution conventions" - with 17 countries, including the EU, US, and South Korea

- Indian workers in the UK will still need to pay the NHS immigration health surcharge
