Why does a swap sometimes need two confirmations?

Before the swap can happen, the smart contract may need permission to use your token.

Approve = token permission
Swap = actual swap execution

An approval can stay active until you change or revoke it.

Hi Nico,
I’ve been a loyal user of TradingView for nearly three years, promoting your platform everywhere I go. I’ve shared almost 400 ideas, striving to support both your community and my own. For years, I’ve used my own indicators—free for anyone to access through our public link, despite being private.

But today, one of your moderators decided to erase over 20+ hours of work dating back to March 2024, citing a rule about using three indicators that are only minimally different from your free ones. This isn’t the first time this has happened. Just days ago, another idea of mine was deleted because I mistakenly posted the wrong image in my analysis. Rather than allow a simple correction, the entire idea was wiped out.

How is this even possible? I’ve paid a significant amount every year to use TradingView, promoted your service tirelessly, and contributed to fostering engagement and collaboration. And yet, my reward? Moderators seem to take pleasure in deleting my work over rules that were never enforced for the last 300 posts—but suddenly matter now?

I am beyond disappointed with TradingView’s moderation system. It feels outdated and hostile to those who genuinely care about your platform. I’d appreciate hearing your thoughts on this, because it’s becoming impossible to support a system that punishes dedicated users like this.
