Weight training is way more effective for weight loss than cardio. For Max effectiveness, incorporate HIIT cardio into your weight training routine. 15-20 min of weight training is more effective that walking on the treadmill for an hour. It’s cute, but Stop doing that.
Muscle weighs more than fat. This is why it’s important to take your measurements because while you may not always see progress on the scale, you will see a difference in measurements as you replace fat with muscle. For example. I weigh 164 in this picture.
Progressive overload is a big part of muscle hypertrophy. If you start off with 5lbs than the goal is to progressively over load your muscles over time. But again, none of this matters if you aren’t repping until failure.
