Itโs been awhile since I posted so I just wanted to pop in and say hi to all my x friends. I hope youโve all had a nice summer so far. Itโs been hot and dry here so itโs not been the most inspiring summer for pictures. The cows have spent the last month bunched up close to water. We moved them to a fresh pasture a couple days ago and they seem a lot more content so hopefully Iโll get back to sharing more pics! I hope you all have a good evening.๐โฅ๏ธ๐บ๐ธ
Happy to see you too! Iโm so happy to hear youโve been getting moisture and cooler temps. We went from cool to hot. No in between for us this year. These dry years make us appreciate rain so much more. Yes winter will be here before we know it and then Iโll be complaining about the cold.๐๐คฃ
@KLV1321139 Thank you. I hope you get some rain! We scrounged around for hay this year but hopefully we got enough to make the winter. Iโm glad to hear your cows are looking good! Best of luck to you too!
@HMRRD1989 Nice! Iโm glad to hear you are now getting rain. It helps if everything isnโt a disaster! Enjoy your trip! That sounds like a lot of fun!
I hope you enjoy the winter with your Dad. 95 years young! So amazing and definitely a blessing!๐๐
To @CNN, you have a short memory. In 2024 you credibly covered that China hacked Great Britainโs voter files. Those files are public like the US. Why was it news then but now disinformation when Trump reveals it happened to Americans? https://t.co/7DBIjgn6fN
๐จ BOOM: SEN. MIKE LEE JUST WENT WAR MODE ON THE SENATE PARLIAMENTARIAN
She may try to OBSTRUCT the SAVE America Act in reconciliation (only needs 50 votes) and Lee is getting ahead of people like Thune saying to "protect" her
"Nobody elected the Senate parliamentarian. The Senate parliamentarian occupies no constitutional post in our system of government!"
"You're going to hear we need to PROTECT the Parliamentarians' rulings, saying they can't be overturned..."
"Nobody's calling for the parliamentarians' rulings to be overturned. Why? Because the parliamentarian DOESN'T RULE! She lacks that power. Only the presiding officer rules. The parliamentarian merely offers ADVICE."
"The presiding officer, whether that's the vice president of the United States, the president pro tem, or the acting president pro tem...is the presiding officer who makes the ruling. It's then up to the Senate to either sustain or overturn that ruling."
"In most contexts, it takes a simple majority vote to overturn the ruling of the chair. In budget reconciliation, it takes 60 votes, so the math changes. But regardless, there is nothing sacred about the rule of the Senate parliamentarian!"
"So don't believe those who say that you've got to protect the parliamentarian at all costs."
"It's not her vote that matters. She doesn't have a vote. It's the ruling of the presiding officer that matters."
NO RECESS UNTIL IT'S DONE!
