As somebody who works in IT professionally, trust me when I say it isn't a VTuber issue; it's a generation issue

Most people who I consider "inept" are usually either the super old Gen X/Boomers or the very young Gen Z. Modern tech is super user-friendly, which has kinda killed the need to become tech literate (Not saying for all people, but certainly most of the people I interact with)

@king__bileygr Kids today are spoiled af like they have no idea. The multi-part eps on YT, sketchy downloads just to be current provided by fan-subs, and even then doesn't guarantee it was gonna be good but an animé at all was all we could hope for back then.

I just want to make some final notes before moving onto my usual types of posts!

1. Commissions_gg has still not confirmed the existence of their co-founder Spargus, their other co-founder Komi's account lacks evidence of prior experience and ties to the art community (a big selling point to them).

2. Both company co-founders haven't shown that they did exist within the community at all despite it being huge to the development of Commissions_GG. As someone with a Bachelor's Degree in Design and professional experience with developing projects/pitches to garner funding, it was something that was important for us to always disclose especially when asked. The fact it is an after thought "we'll add it after" is strange, the fact it is unable to be disclosed when asked both privately and publicly is strange.

3. A great point was brought up by another artist, a global company with any lacking ties ("ghost company") to individuals/no evidence of the individuals ("ghost owners") prior experiences is bound to raise red flags, other artists have shared similar concerns.

We live in a scary time where Al and the dead internet theory is becoming harder to ignore everyday. It's terrifying the realities of what this could mean as we continue to adapt to the changes of what they bring. I still don't really know what to make of the situation, all I have confirmed is it raises alarm bells for me and others, and that lack of transparency/communication is strange. The fact I reached out privately and publicly and nothing still has been disclosed is strange.

If despite this you do still feel comfortable using commission_gg, you are welcome to! As my original post notes: please be wary. Use discernment and critical thinking when encountering anything that feels off, the internet is not the same as it was.

@WynterpuppyVT @SilentNyite Commissioning art, minimum all you should get is the resulting image, not the editable file, however some artists do give everything as part of THEIR practice. Same goes for models, it depends on what was discussed but not inherently/implicitly the editable file.
