‘Bulungi bwa nsi’ is actually a good initiative, and communities like Baganda already practice it. To work well though, it should be appreciated and owned by the community, not coerced. Once owned, the community will do the implementation themselves - including handling non adherence. Some otherwise good initiatives are killed by trying to shove them down people’s throats. Use sociologists, social workers, social psychologists, and philosophers to advise you on community dynamics and how to work out community cooperation - not just suddenly coming up with random ideas and somehow expecting that you will simply police people into them. And, should those initiatives fail, they might be thought to be impossible and become even harder to ever try again - yet it is basically a conceptualisation and implementation problem. You really need the Arts and Social Sciences more than ever before.

Uganda is heading in the direction of North Korea, GENUINELY, and I'm not sure we have fully internalized that.

In all seriousness, we need to keep fighting Museveni and Muhoozi with every ounce of energy we have.

These types of regimes are only taken out by mass expression of dissatisfaction by their own people, one way or another. Sometimes it takes a long time, but eventually it happens. We cannot sit and wait for it to come from 'The Inside.' Those guys are eating stolen money very very comfortably.
The insiders only jump when they see us standing outside. They only come out to save themselves, the same way they went in to get benefits and save themselves from poverty, the easy way. Naturally, regime apologists are always the cowards of the bunch and they never have anything they truly believe in but money.

This expression doesn't happen in countries where people don't see each other as one people. For example, the petty tribal wars the regime is always trying to peddle, inter-party wars, and so on.

When people have someone else to hate apart from their oppressors, they never fight their oppressors. 🧏🏾‍♂️🧏🏾‍♂️🧏🏾‍♂️🧏🏾‍♂️

Propaganda works, even on the strongest minds, and these guys have the money to push it on us in AMAZINGLY LARGE AMOUNTS on a daily basis.
(Just check my comments for an example of this.)

You know what the solution is?

1.) If you live in Uganda, get off your phone and take a walk outside. You will see signs of it getting worse BY THE DAY. That will be your ground truth, and nobody will be able to tell you otherwise.

2.) If you live in the Diaspora, also get off your phone and look around. You will see things wayyyy beyond what we have in Uganda, and if you are anything like me, you will also feel a deep sense of sadness and longing for it in your own home. Like a child with an abusive parent who is visiting a friend who has a healthy family at home. It is VERY SAD.

We need to show each other what is true and work together toward the future. Don't blame your friend or neighbor who is a heavy regime person. They have been lied to and cannot yet see it. Blame those in charge who are still pushing lies and propaganda. They know exactly what they are doing, and they do it anyway.

We can do this guys, genuinely these people are not untouchable. We can't give up our country like that.

HOW BILLIONAIRES THINK.

Its all in the numbers.

If your boss paid you UGX 600,000 every month and you saved all that money without touching a coin, you would need to work for 36 months to get 21million.

But if you convinced an organization like The UN to give you a printing job for only 5,000 Umbrellas and you made UGX 4,000 from each Umbrella that would be 5,000x4,000= UGX 20,000,000 in only 1 single day or week or month.

It becomes crazy if you want to become a Billionaire. Say your boss pays you UGX 1,000,000 per month and you saved all that money without touching a single coin.

This means that in a year you would only have 12million. So that means it would need you to work for 84years to get 1billion (How old are you today??).

However, there are 45million people in Uganda if you supllied salt to 10 million of them once per month making Shs 400 per packet, it would only take you 1year to be a billionaire.

The lesson learned here is that if you want to be rich you stop dealing with Bosses. If you deal with Bosses you will never be rich.

If you want to be rich start dealing with Clients and customers not Bosses get up and do ur own business.

The KEY messages in the write is not to do these things mentioned. But

1 - To open your mind and start thinking in terms of numbers, customers, clients.
2 - You can not become financially independent or rich or wealthy by working for other people.

While you're there with in your job, start thinking of how to create wealth by starting a business. It doesn't matter how small it is, just start.

Burundi has traveled a long and painful road toward peace following the tragic conflicts of the past.

Today, Burundians from all backgrounds participate in the political, economic, and social life of the nation without systemic discrimination. The progress achieved in healing, stability, and unity is real and must be defended against those who wish to fracture it.

Ngoga’s remarks are not constructive criticism; they constitute a divisive ethnic narrative that revives the very ghosts of division the country has fought so hard to bury. By framing the situation in explicitly ethnic terms and suggesting that one community is systematically victimized, he ignores the daily reality of harmonious coexistence experienced by millions of Burundians. Such statements risk inciting mistrust, hatred, and instability. They play into the hands of those who seek to destabilize the country from within or without, rather than contributing to the collective effort of nation-building.

True patriotism demands responsibility, especially from public figures and diplomats. The Burundian people have chosen the path of reconciliation, peace, and shared development. No individual, regardless of their title or platform, has the right to undermine this hard-earned unity through inflammatory ethnic rhetoric. It is essential that all citizens — at home and in the diaspora — prioritize the national interest above any narrow or imported agenda. Together, under the banner of “Ubumwe, Ibikorwa, Iterambere” (Unity, Work, Progress), Burundi will continue to advance as a sovereign, stable, and indivisible nation
