@PhiloSophie11 How did u know I was doing this rn

[finnzo @KTdafinn]

@PeteManziel @lukkD I understand where ur coming from. There are opinions and comments made that can come from an uninformed place/the media. my biggest take away is not in ANY way attacking law enforcement or those that keep us safe. It’s the systemic piece of how our country implicitly operates :(

[finnzo @KTdafinn]

@PeteManziel @lukkD Probably not! That’s a terrifying situation to be in and I’m sure that people were just trying to save their and others lives. But what I think Lukas and myself are pointing out is a bigger picture pattern

[finnzo @KTdafinn]

@PeteManziel @lukkD And those actions goes unpunished and unquestioned because of the deep roots that discrimination, privilege and power of the majority have in our justice system. Thanks for takin the time to read 🙃

[finnzo @KTdafinn]

@PeteManziel @lukkD .. even after horrific actions, but black unarmed young men are shot to death or acted aggressively upon because of potential (unfounded) suspicion.

[finnzo @KTdafinn]

@PeteManziel @lukkD I am not in any way making the statement that these rights should be forgone, but that second point is why minorities are outraged. A white man that commits violence against innocent people can be protected by his justice system because he has a right to be....

[finnzo @KTdafinn]

@PeteManziel @lukkD We see white men committing mass murder and 1) not being called terrorists (which is what they are) because of their skin color, but also 2) being protected by the justice system and ensured their basic rights.

[finnzo @KTdafinn]

@PeteManziel @lukkD The admirable success of minorities in our country does not transcend to the institutionalized racism we see in not only day to day life but the justice system

[finnzo @KTdafinn]

@PeteManziel @lukkD To say that racism and discrimination exists does not discount that or their positive experiences, but it does not speak for all people of color. Just like successful white Americans do not speak for the entire experience of all white Americans.

[finnzo @KTdafinn]

@PeteManziel @lukkD hi cane across the thread and wanted to share some thoughts. I see your point that there are successful black Americans. And there are successful Muslim Americans, Hispanic Americans, etc.

[finnzo @KTdafinn]

@PhiloSophie11 My return to twitter and seeing this 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

[Luk @lukkD]

“Ant, did Curious George have a tail?”
“Is that the rabbit....?”

[Humane World for Animals @humaneworldorg]

Elephants are on the list of threatened species and the U.S. government is giving American trophy hunters the green light to kill them. 😞 https://t.co/AT3gRaYHo2 #WildlifeWednesday

[Yashar Ali 🐘 @yashar]

That tusk belongs to her mama and no one else...and it's not a partisan statement to say that.

[The Ellen Show @TheEllenShow]

Compassion, social intelligence, decisiveness, patience, wisdom. These are all qualities found in elephants and not found in the people allowing them to be killed for trophies. #NotUs

[finnzo @KTdafinn]

I take the gre in a week. Maybe with the crazy power of "thoughts and prayers" these days I have a chance ???
