Strengthening accountability in public works is long overdue. Uganda needs a no‑nonsense leadership approach, especially in sectors where corruption has crippled progress for decades. For this reason, I welcome the news that the CDF will take over road construction and maintenance responsibilities.

The military’s discipline, efficiency, and intolerance for corruption could finally bring order to a sector that has long suffered from mismanagement and inflated contracts. Uganda cannot expand or modernise without reliable infrastructure, and this move signals a serious commitment to getting things done🔥
