Hi im Dani
I'm a new media composer and searching for new projects in 2024
My music is most likely created with orchestral libraries but i am exploring the whole world of synths rn
Feel free to connect if u are interested to work with me to create a project
About a decade ago, when I first moved to Berlin, I had this dream of becoming a pro player. However, I didn't want to take a risk of sacrificing everything for an industry that wouldn't allow it. So I decided to question a few of the esport owners at the time about it.
My question was "if was as good as Faker, could I play for [your team]? Or at least try out?"
The answers I got were; "No, that would disturb the team atmosphere", "You would be playing with a bunch of teenage boys, it would be too much drama" or "Maybe if you were ugly" (XD)
And my conclusions were (to be completely honest) amongst the lines of "hm, yeah that's fair". BUT IT'S NOT FAIR. IT'S NOT FAIR that this will forever be the excuse - because they are literally saying those boys are incapable of working together with a woman?
I really wish we had progressed further after almost a decade, but sadly there's still a long way to go. The stereotypes and assumptions being made are destroying what could have been. It comes down to the entire industry; orgs, players, fans, analysts, scouts.
Someone needs to be the first one to open the door with welcoming arms.
