WATCH | Zimbabwean TikToker Mevelo has called on citizens to participate in a peaceful march planned for 31 July 2026 in Zimbabwe. She encouraged skilled Zimbabweans to volunteer their expertise and services to help ensure the demonstration is well organised and successful.

Mevelo also invited Zimbabweans from across the country and abroad to submit their concerns and grievances, which she intends to compile into a formal memorandum to be presented to the government.

Meanwhile, her posts have attracted significant attention from South Africans, many of whom have flooded the comment section with messages of solidarity, encouragement, and support for the planned demonstration.

H.E. President @edmnangagwa honours one of the pioneers of the men who championed the fight against colonial rule in Africa, Dr Kwame Nkrumah. The President toured the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park.

The tour stirred up a lot of memories originating from Zimbabwe’s struggle against white minority rule. Addressing members of the press soon after the tour, the President emphasised the need for the youths to draw inspiration from the exemplary leadership and selfless sacrifice demonstrated by African icons such as the late Dr Kwame Nkrumah.

President Mnangagwa said he was inspired by the bravery shown by Dr Nkurumah and like-minded veteran visionaries, whose actions helped to shape the morals and resolve of a generation of comrades who took up arms and challenged colonialism across the continent.

Cognisant of the fact that Zimbabwe is Open for Business, President Mnangagwa also visited the Accra Compost and Recycling Plant, an initiative similar to the Zimbabwe's Geo Pomona Waste Management project.

His Excellency was impressed by the level of modernisation and innovation at the recycling plant where organic waste is being processed to become fertiliser.

I attended a senior-level meeting at State House yesterday, convened by His Excellency President Dr Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, with a visiting delegation from the Republic of Belarus led by the Minister of Defence, Lieutenant General Victor Khrenin, together with top military officials.

The talks centred on enhancing cooperation in defence and related technical areas, alongside broadening joint initiatives in agriculture and industrial development. The engagement reaffirmed the strong and growing ties between Zimbabwe and Belarus, anchored in a shared resolve to build mutually advantageous partnerships that advance national security and development objectives.

Our reception was nothing short of REMARKABLE and with his characteristic humour and satire , His Excellency warmly welcomed my wife as a DAUGHTER of the ROYAL Shumba lineage, inviting her to sit beside him , ini seMUKWASHA ndichingo ombera 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. I deeply appreciate His Excellency’s wisdom shared on the principles of LOVE , respect, responsibility, mutual compassion and the importance of COMMITMENT in the institution of marriage. At the end of it all, I received STANDING ORDERS from the Head of State and Government to unconditionally love his daughter for the REST of my life. I STAND GUIDED Your Excellency, and I will comply with your ORDERS without any exception.
