Hon'ble Delhi High Court in a landmark ruling has ruled that the limitation for claim of transitional credit shall be of 3 years. Law of Limitations will apply as it is a property of the Assesse and the limitation as mentioned in Rule 117 of CGST Rules is not sacrosanct.

The CBDT, vide order dated 24/04/2020 under section 119 (Circ. no. 10/2020), has decided to defer the reporting under Clause 30C and Clause 44 of the Tax Audit Report till 31st March, 2021. The deferment has been done in view of COVID-19 to provide some relief in implementation.
