We are an #NGO established in 1981 to transform livelihoods through providing skills and knowledge to empower farmers in sustainable ecological agriculture.
On 5 October, Stromme Foundation Global Secretary General Erik Lunde visited our Luuka Community Strengthening Project with Mission Alliance. He heard from young people changed by Bonga, opened classroom block at Namakakele Primary School and launched SafePads for girls.

โA wrench has no gender. A spanner has no gender. A skill has no gender.โ
Our Principal, Jannat Nakazibwe, encouraged the graduands to own their place in technical fields and never be intimidated by spaces where men have traditionally dominated.

A joyful sendoff for our 9 graduates (7F & 2M) from the @smartgirlsug Training Centre! After completing their vocational skills training, they received start-up kits to begin their journey to self-reliance thanks to the partnership between Strรธmme Foundation & Kulika Uganda
Earlier this week, we officially handed over 9 refugee learners under the Smart Girls Uganda scholarship program during a meeting at @KulikaUganda offices in Nsambya.
The learners, from Ariwa Sub-county in Yumbe District, successfully completed training in Automotive Mechanics, Plumbing, Tailoring, and ICT, and sat for their @UVTABOfficial assessments after a year-long skilling journey.
Over the past year, they have grown in technical skills, confidence, communication, financial literacy, and personal development, overcoming challenges and preparing for the next chapter of their lives.
To support their transition into work and self-employment, each learner received a startup toolkit aligned to their trade, including sewing machines for tailoring, plumbing tools, and mechanical toolkits.
We appreciate @EaStromme and their local partner Kulika Uganda for entrusting these young people to us, and we are grateful to the EU-UN @GlobalSpotlight through the @Mglsd_UG, @UNDPUganda, and @KCCAUG for supporting skills development opportunities that continue to transform lives.
