Compared to everything going on the world right now, I'm obligated to acknowledge that my story is small.
But even still, if you read this, a sincere thank you to you.
“Despite going to great lengths to follow every letter of U.S. immigration law, my ability to build a future in the only country I call home is obscured in red tape."

Committee hearing on immigration.
We are disappointed to see the bipartisan age out protection amendment not get a chance for a House floor vote.
This amendment was led by @RepDeborahRoss and cosponsored by six Republican members.
Like last year, it would have passed easily with broad bipartisan support.
Well if nothing else the Supreme Court ruling is gonna humble some white and Asian students when they find out they still didn’t get in to their dream school and it wasn’t the fault of already underrepresented Black applicants.
Today, we mark the 75th Anniversary of India's Independence - a day to recognize the important relationship between our two democracies. I am honored to represent a vibrant Indian-American community in Congress and join all those celebrating in North Carolina & across the world.
This is beautiful. And hauntingly depressing. And unfortunately, all too relatable.
250,000 of us are in danger of living out this poem upon turning 21.
"It's perplexing, then, that the government is denying this opportunity to hundreds of thousands of young immigrants.. and are now at risk of being forced to leave the only country many have ever known."

Documented Dreamers were raised in America and know this country as their only home. Yet, they risk having to self-deport by the age of 21 because of backlogs in the immigration system.
Congress must pass the America’s CHILDREN Act to extend protections to these young people.
Documented dreamers are among few immigrant groups to receive the support of both Republicans and Democrats at a time when immigration policy has become so contentious that nearly any attempt at reform is unlikely to succeed, @andreamcastillo writes.

Our families brought us to the United States with the hope that they are able to provide a better life and more opportunities for their children. Even without change that recognizes us as such, we are Americans and this will be our home.
Happy Independence Day! #Happy4thofJuly
The “I’m not voting for Hilary so the democrats give us better candidates” was great in theory but the next 4 years literally regressed the country by 50. Disgusting decision by #SCOTUS but at least the folks with graphic fetus posters may take a break from campus grounds…
@prems_tweet@SpeakSamuel@ImproveTheDream Most of the external funding allegations involve big tech (lol) or other immigration groups which is false.
Sure, I guess technically we had funding from our families.
And I can promise you that we are not E2-biased in any way, shape or form. What makes you think that?
@prems_tweet@SpeakSamuel@ImproveTheDream This is silly. We get a good laugh reading such conspiracies from people who really should be supporting us.
Individuals (generally family) kind enough to donate are the source of funding for the minimal people who need it. The vast majority of spending was self-subsidized.
It means a lot to see Senator @RoyBlunt support us and our effort to #ImproveTheDream.
I completed my PharmD in Missouri and consider it my second home (after Illinois). After years of outreach, last week, we met Senator Blunt.
This week, he cosponsored America's Children Act.
Documented Dreamers are Americans in every respect, except on paper.
It's time to pass the America's CHILDREN Act and give them the futures they deserve.
