A Mother automatically earns her ‘sweet mother/best mom’ title from the very day she conceives
A Father on the other hand, no matter what he does, almost never gets recognized until he dies
‘Fathers’ are the most disregarded set of humans on earth
We shouldn’t let it continue.
@Ony1nyechi Christianity is a religion that doesn't erase national identity and culture. It perfectly integrates into it because it is from the Only True God who created people of different tribes, culture and tongues. I fear Islam doesn't do the same.
These are the issues we constantly point out but they claim its phobia for their religion: their ideology behind it. Remember when Sanusi Lamido advocated for more stricter measures against irresponsible procreation and parental neglect that birthed the almajiri system, compulsory schooling for the children and the use of birth control for the women in the North, it threw him into their bad books of their religious and govt leaders. He was deposed. We can see the infrastructural and societal development in Saudi Arabia, the home of this same religion. Here, they don't build hospitals, good roads, good schools, basic amenities...only sorrow, tears and blood.
You had a Christian as President
You had a muslim as Vice President
You established Sharia law in certain states under our democracy
It didn't improve the economic condition of your region
It scored you a bit of political popularity among your ignorant and religiously programmed supporters
We swallowed it
We said, "It is the North...Our siblings born with cerebral palsy...We have to cope with them as good people."
You started Boko Haram
Terrorised the entire country
Bombed markets, parks and buildings
Kidnapped school children in Chibok
Used the kidnapped children to force a change of government
Told us A muslim president is the best option to get rid of insecurity
We bought it
We said, "It is the North... Our siblings born with Down syndrome...We have to wipe their asses and blow their noses as a caring people"
You have a Muslim as President
You have a Muslim as Vice President
You formed bands of badits all over the country
With Tiktok and other social media handles for flex
You kidnap people with reckless abandon and slaughter them for fun
You kidnapped school children and demanded ransom which included the adoption of Sharia in OYO state
We are saying again that "It is the North, our brothers born with mental illness...."
It is not the North
it is Islam!
That religion is a virus that affects the programming of people's minds and encourage them to kill, steal and destroy
If it is a political problem, Nigeria should be experiencing Peace like a river at the moment because you have a muslim-muslim dominated government
It is not political
It is a disease
It is Islam, it is a disease like rabies
It drives some of those who embrace it mad
We should stop making excuses and playing ostrich
We should call a spade, a spade
The problem is Islam; it is driving some of its adherents mad
Those who have a cure for it should bring it out
If they don't, we may have to put the mad dog down
And distance ourselves from our brother who is setting the house on fire while we are all asleep in it.
The problem is Islam!

All the crisis happening in the middle east is because of the greed of the British & french government.
The story starts long before Israel, Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, or the modern Arab states.
At the start of the 1900s, most of the Middle East was not divided into the countries you know today. There was no Iraq. No Syria. No Jordan. No Lebanon. No Israel. No Palestine as a separate state.
Most of the region belonged to one empire: the Ottoman Empire.
The Ottoman Empire had ruled the Arab world for roughly 400 years. It stretched from modern-day Turkey through Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, parts of Saudi Arabia, and beyond.
By the early 20th century, however, the Ottoman Empire was weak. European powers called it “the sick man of Europe.” Britain, France and Russia were already discussing a simple question: When this empire finally collapses, who gets what?
That is the beginning of the modern Middle East.
Britain & France did not enter the region to bring peace, democracy or self-rule. They entered for the same reasons empires usually do: oil, trade routes, military access, and strategic control.
Britain cared about two things above all else:
Protecting the route to India, which was the most important colony in the British Empire and protecting the Suez Canal in Egypt.
France wanted influence in Syria & Lebanon, where it had economic interests and old political connections.
Then World War I began in 1914.
The Ottoman Empire joined the war on the side of Germany. Britain and France saw an opportunity. If the Ottomans lost, they could divide the empire between themselves.
But there was a problem.
The British needed help from the Arabs living under Ottoman rule. So Britain began making promises. Britain told Arab leaders:
Help us defeat the Ottomans, and after the war you will get independence. You will get your own Arab state. The main Arab leader Britain negotiated with was Hussein bin Ali, the Sharif of Mecca. Through letters exchanged between 1915 and 1916, Britain strongly suggested that the Arabs would receive independence if they revolted against the Ottomans.
The Arabs believed them.
An Arab Revolt began in 1916. Arab fighters worked with British officers like T. E. Lawrence, later made famous as “Lawrence of Arabia.”
Arab fighters attacked Ottoman railways, forts and supply lines. They helped weaken Ottoman rule from the inside. While the Arabs were fighting and dying because they believed Britain’s promises, Britain and France were secretly doing something else.
In 1916 they signed one of the most important and dishonest agreements in modern history. It was called the Sykes–Picot Agreement. The agreement was secret.
It was negotiated by a British diplomat, Mark Sykes, and a French diplomat, François Georges-Picot. The Arabs were not invited. Nobody from the region was asked what they wanted. Two European men sat in a room and decided the future of millions of people they had never met. They took a map of the Middle East and divided it. France would control Syria and Lebanon. Britain would control Iraq, Jordan and much of Palestine.
The lines were drawn to suit Britain and France, not the people who lived there.
Different ethnic and religious groups were pushed into the same countries whether they wanted it or not. Kurds were split across several states. Sunni Arabs, Shia Arabs and Kurds were forced into one new country called Iraq. Tribal regions were cut apart.
Old local relationships were ignored. These borders were not drawn because they made sense. They were drawn because they were useful to London and Paris. That is why many of the borders in the Middle East today look strange or artificial. Some of them were literally drawn with rulers on maps. Britain had now secretly promised the same land to two different groups. It had promised the Arabs independence. At the same time, through Sykes–Picot, it promised the French and itself control over that same territory.

Your body has an enzyme that can stop your cells from aging. You produce it as an embryo, and then your body shuts it off. On purpose. Because if your cells kept using it, they’d never stop dividing, and that’s literally what cancer is. About 85% of human cancers work by switching this enzyme back on.
Lobsters never switch it off. Ever.
They produce this thing, telomerase, in every single organ their entire lives. A 1998 lab study found it running in their liver, their heart, their muscles, everywhere. What it does is simple: every time a cell copies itself, the tips of your DNA fray a little, like the ends of a shoelace losing its plastic cap. Telomerase rebuilds those caps. In your body, most cells can’t do that, so they wear down and eventually die. That’s aging. Lobster cells just… keep going.
And here’s the part that messes with me. They actually get more fertile as they age. A 1-pound female carries about 8,000 eggs. A 9-pound female can carry over 100,000. The grandmother in this video is hauling 70,000–80,000 eggs. In almost every other animal, reproduction slows down and stops as the body breaks down. Lobsters flip that completely. The older they get, the more babies they can have.
They do still die. Just not from aging. Lobsters grow by cracking out of their entire shell and building a new one from scratch. Imagine doing that every year or two, and each time it costs more energy because you’re bigger. Eventually the molt itself is what kills them. Exhaustion. Or infection while the new shell is still soft. The oldest one anyone’s found, a 20-pound male named George, was about 140 years old when he got pulled up off Newfoundland in 2008. PETA got involved, and he was dropped back into the water near Kennebunkport, Maine.
This female getting released isn’t random feel-good content, either. Maine has made it illegal to keep egg-bearing females since 1872. When a fisherman catches one, he cuts a V-shaped notch into her tail flipper before tossing her back. That notch makes her permanently off-limits, even years later when she’s caught again without visible eggs.
A 2018 study found that V-notched females produce 9 times more eggs over their lifetime than unmarked ones. And the survival odds for lobster babies are terrible: out of every 50,000 eggs, maybe 2 make it to a size you could legally catch.
One big, old, egg-loaded female like this one is worth more to the species than thousands of younger lobsters combined.
