@JuliaHB1 Skyrocketing infections will make other countries close their doors to us, increase hospitalisations & deaths, incubate potential vaccine resistant strains and drive us to another lockdown. Well done when you've achieved that.
@mrjamesob If you wanted to create a vaccine resistant variant the best way would be to vaccinate a large part of the population (but not enough for herd immunity) and then let the virus rip. Maximise probability of breakthrough.
@mrjamesob Do we really think that removing Harry's protection was about indifference to his safety or more about whether a couple worth tens of millions of dollars should have security paid by the UK tax payer once they resigned and left the country?
@DrHilaryJones@piersmorgan Dangerously misleading section with Jeff Boycott this morning. First Pfizer vaccine is 89% protective. The 52% includes the first 3 to 5 days where the vaccine hasn't kicked in. By day 21 it's 89% effective. 2nd shot gives extra 4 or 5%.
@mrjamesob Isn't sovereignty where you have to fill out red tape to send goods within your own borders because of rules made by an external body such as the EU?
@LBC@MaajidNawaz The 1325 deaths is failure 2 understand difference between linear and exponential growth. Anti-lockdown sentiment is blinkered by a linear view of the world. The paper you referenced is invalid- its model predicted March cases accurately - 15% of actual pre-new-strain growth rate
@KurrentAffairs@VinceGottalotta@Nigel_Farage Well put. In Ireland, weโve gone from taking churns of milk to the creamery with horses & carts to an agri-industry exporting to 175 countries worth โฌ26b pa, all thanks to CAP.
@narkyanarchist@VinceGottalotta@Nigel_Farage And what a success it was. Just look at the Europe of today compared to 1974 - World class productivity, City of London, Manufacturing behemoths, aerospace industry to challenge US - a major economic global powerhouse.
@LeaveEUOfficial So if the Lib Dems won an election on a manifesto that states it will cancel Brexit - wouldn't have a democratic mandate to cancel Brexit? You need to look up Democracy in the dictionary.
@afneil (a) the government can say what it likes on the leaflet - it didn't have the authority to say it as is now obvious (b) politicians lie all the time.
@Nigel_Farage This isn't a clean break - it's no deal. No arrangement whatsoever with our closest and largest trading partner. If you think we voted for that you really do think Brexit voters are idiots.
@fish_in_a_hat @A50Challenge It's also because key academics were German and Jewish and ended up in the US that Hitler didn't win the war. Imagine if Oppenheimer, Einstein etc. had been on the side of the 3rd Reich!!
@Nigel_Farage Dear Nigel Farage,
You just voted.
In the "undemocratic" EU Parliament.
To elect the "unelected" Commission President.
And the only reason she was nominated is because fascists like you blocked Timmermans in the EU Council.
You're so full of shit it's coming out of your ears
@DawnButlerBrent I'm afraid - much as I'd like to agree with you, you are looking at this through the wrong lens. MPs are being assaulted and even killed in the current climate. You can't suddenly view this as "the weaker sex" when she was an intruder of unknown risk.
@Arron_banks You do know Boris will cheat on you the way he cheated on his wife? As soon as he gets into power he'll do whatever he can to stay - and that does NOT involve taking us over a cliff edge no deal brexit. If you can't see that you're not as astute as you make out.
