Olive Garden cook di*s after dunking his own head into extremely hot deep fryer.

This happened at the chain’s restaurant in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, on Friday, January 30.

Co-workers and at least one patron attempted to minimize the harm by pulling him out. One co-worker suffered minor burns in the process.

The cook who thrust his head into the deep fryer survived the initial ordeal, was rushed to a local hospital, but succumbed to his self-inflicted injuries.

Out of respect for the family and victim, since this is being treated as a su*cide, the identity of the victim was withheld by police.

Audio from the 911 call regarding this horrific event was released.
