GFI's new report 'Trade-Related Illicit Financial Flows, 2013-2022' highlights that the total value gaps in Sub-Saharan Africa are estimated at $152.9 billion in 2022.
#SouthAfrica had the highest cumulative (i.e. 10-year) dollar amount of value gaps with all trading partners during the period at $478.0 billion.
Africa still faces a profound challenge with IFFs on the order of hundreds of billions of dollars per year leaking from the continent.
