राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीत�� 2020 के अनुरूप, स्कूल शिक्षा एवं साक्षरता विभाग, शिक्षा मंत्रालय, बहुभाषिकता को बढ़ावा देने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। इसी उद्देश्य के साथ आयोजित भारतीय भाषा ग्रीष्मकालीन शिविर 2026 देशभर में एक जन-आंदोलन का रूप ले चुका ��ै। 43 राज्यों/केंद्रशासित प्रदेशों/स्वायत्त निकायों की सहभागिता के साथ अब तक 3.52 करोड़ से अधिक छात्र, 23.77 लाख शिक्षक, 8.79 लाख विद्यालय और 5.59 लाख समुदाय इस अभियान से जुड़ चुके हैं। 1,978 से अधिक गतिविधियों के माध्यम से छात्र अपनी ग्रीष्मकालीन छुट्टियों के दौरान भारत की भाषाई एवं सांस्कृतिक विविधता को जानने, समझने और उससे जुड़ने का अवसर प्राप्त कर रहे हैं।
