Telling someone with a food addiction to eat 'everything in moderation' is like telling an alcoholic to 'have a drink.' Food addiction is a real addiction that needs serious treatment, not casual advice. Stop it completely to recover. #FoodAddiction#HealthTips
Focus on protein first to build lean muscle, burn more calories, feel fuller, and reduce cravings. Stable blood sugar levels are a major benefit. Prioritize protein, then fiber (greens, veggies, fruits), and finally carbs for optimal results. #NutritionTips#HealthGoals
We've been told to eat less and move more.
But what if we've been asking the wrong questions?
Had a fantastic conversation with @drjasonfung about insulin resistance, fasting, metabolic health, and why prevention needs to become the future of healthcare.

Prevention doesn’t take vacations.
This morning my wife and I squeezed in a quick workout before heading out for the day.
Nothing fancy.
Nothing perfect.
Just consistent.
Your health isn’t built in one workout—it’s built through the habits you repeat.

Prevention Is the Biggest Lever
One of my biggest takeaways from working through the pandemic was this:
Many of the sickest patients we were seeing had one thing in common.
Poor metabolic health.
Obesity.
Diabetes.
Hypertension.
Frailty.
It forced me to ask a hard question:
What happens if we stop waiting until people are sick… and instead become far more aggressive about prevention?
Better nutrition.
More movement.
Better sleep.
Strength training.
Stress management.
Social connection.
The truth is, prevention may be the biggest healthcare opportunity in front of us right now.
Not only for individuals.
But for the sustainability of the entire system.
We need to think upstream.

Canada's healthcare challenges aren't just about overcrowded hospitals, they're about preventing illness before it starts and ensuring people can access care when they need it.
We spend too much time treating preventable diseases and too little time investing in prevention. At the same time, barriers like provincial licensing continue to limit access to physicians when patients need them most.
The solutions exist.
What's missing is the urgency to implement them.
What do you think is the single biggest change that could improve Canada's healthcare system?

I don’t think you can lead at the highest level if you consistently neglect your health.
Poor sleep.
Poor nutrition.
No exercise.
Constant stress.
That impacts decision making.
Your health is not separate from leadership.
It IS leadership.
Doctors are baffled: Type 2 diabetes reversal isn't taught in medical school. shocking lack of nutrition education means most trainees get only 1-2 hours. Yet, evidence shows it can be reversed in weeks using diet. #Health#Diabetes
