I’ve been asking myself the same question especially as least of the recent Kentucky Teacher of the Year winners have left teaching the following year. both cases they had specific reasons and I don’t blame either of them for leaving the profession.

@RevDaniel @StJohnsDixie I feel bad for our pastor when I had my daughter. He drove 45 min to the hospital to visit. I had crazy hormones & difficulty breastfeeding & refused to see him cuz I was crying—didn’t see me or the baby. 😬 Now I regret it, but he took it in stride. He’s also married no kids.

Part 2: I’ve read the book she holds up. It’s a fine book….it would have to be very stretched or twisted to see it otherwise.

The only thing I agree with her on is that parents need to help teach kids to respect teachers.
