It appears someone on the Ky. Dept. of Ed's legal team did a deep grammatical reading of SB 150 because their new guidance to schools prompted a Senate GOP email about KDE's "absurd efforts to skirt state law."

I’ve been asking myself the same question especially as least of the recent Kentucky Teacher of the Year winners have left teaching the following year. both cases they had specific reasons and I don’t blame either of them for leaving the profession.
Sincere question…
Do Teacher of the Year programs do more harm than good because they celebrate/perpetuate toxic hero teacher myths and inflame competition between educators?

@RevDaniel@StJohnsDixie I feel bad for our pastor when I had my daughter. He drove 45 min to the hospital to visit. I had crazy hormones & difficulty breastfeeding & refused to see him cuz I was crying—didn’t see me or the baby. 😬 Now I regret it, but he took it in stride. He’s also married no kids.
@LouSchoolBeat Part 1: She doesn’t know what she is talking about.
Part 2: I’ve read the book she holds up. It’s a fine book….it would have to be very stretched or twisted to see it otherwise.
The only thing I agree with her on is that parents need to help teach kids to respect teachers.
Do you think Matt Bevin was a good governor? If so, don’t vote for any of these Republican candidates.
Personally I think Bevin was awful and I am so thankful for Andy Beshear.
This ad is so extreme! Sheesh! I just can’t. There are lots of issues in education but this video doesn’t address any of them. Just scare tactics and an altered reality.
Every child should be given the opportunity to learn and reach their full potential without having immoral woke ideologies forced upon them. We should be teaching our children the ABCs, not the CRTs.
