Inspiration without application is like having a gun and not knowing how to utilize it - it can actually be dangerous. The psalmist said - teach...that we may apply (Ps. 90:12).
'My son...' is how the OT writer began presenting pearls of wisdom. It illustrates a parent instructing their children. Godliness and commitment to His ways should be primarily testified about and exemplified at home and reinforced by the local Church. #discipleshiphappensathome
Proverbs 14:34 (ESV) Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.
God help us turn to righteousness! Grace as our teacher, let us live unto the Lord (Titus 2:11-12).
The wisdom writer of the NT: James 1:19-20, "But lever everyone be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God."

Exegesis means to “bring out” of the text the meaning the writers intended to convey to their readers, while exposition means to apply the text & its meaning to people today. Exegesis is the proper basis for exposition.
Christian Liberty and Civil Liberty: both are loved and cherished by all who have experienced them. Both have an exceptional price tag: bloodshed. One’s blood washes our past and rewrites our futures. The blood of many secures our tomorrows.
