@cody_bondeson@DanBFox1287 1) using the fastball more wouldn't change the fact that he has multiple elite pitches and isn't a one pitch pitcher and, 2) his 4seam usage on the season is 49.5% and over his last 3 starts it's 51%, so he hasn't actually been using it appreciably more recently.
@DanBFox1287 I'm a hard no on this, Tolle has the chance to be a special starting pitcher and is still relatively inexperienced at it (only his second pro season, and was a two way guy for most of his amateur career). I keep him in the rotation to continue refining his arsenal and pitch usage
@gingersnaphyde Could also be read as taking on a different bad contract to get the right handed hitter, not necessarily that the RHH is himself the bad contract.
@kiki_strumm3r@ChrisCotillo It's asking a guy to move back to his natural position that he has 1000s of professional innings playing, you're not asking him to learn a new position. And he's been doing drills there for at least a week to "get ready"
@MikeMutnansky@EdHand89 It's not admirable, it's selfish. He literally cost the team wins by trying to pay through it just to save face and try not to lose a position he's not good at anymore
