Tonight at 6pm on 9NEWS and streaming on 9NEWS+: The Colorado Democratic Gubernatorial Debate
Signs point to this being an increasingly tight race with Attorney General Phil Weiser closing on the presumed frontrunner, US Senator Michael Bennet
@TREEM017813305@Rossputin@KOAColorado Hi anonymous friend. Marshall Zelinger reminded the audience they agreed not to interrupt with applause. Not a big deal at all. We usually have to remind every audience once. Applause here and there isn’t a big deal but it reduces candidate time if supporters applaud every time.
Some moments in debates feel the same in the room as they come across on television. This wasn’t one of them. Because you couldn’t clearly hear the audience’s reaction. I’ll discuss it with @Rossputin on @KOAColorado at 8:34AM.
@KyleClark@9News joins me at 8:34 AM tomorrow (Weds 6/3) on @koacolorado to talk about his experience moderating the GOP gov debate. I want to ask particularly about the moment when Scott Bottoms said that he'd probably give the egregious anti-semite Joe Oltmann a job in a Bottoms administration as long as the job didn't require Oltmann to be near Jews. OMG.

Tonight the Pentagon announced the death of an Active Duty Soldier who was supporting Operation Inherent Resolve.
Sergeant Devin A. Seibel, 26, of Robinson, Texas, died on May 31, 2026, in Erbil Airbase, Iraq, during a training-related incident.
The Soldier was assigned to the Air Ambulance Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, Fort Carson, Colo.
The incident is under investigation.
We ask candidates of all political persuasions about their own words and actions. If that makes them “look bad,” perhaps it’s not the fault of journalists.
The Colorado GOP Debate held last night by Channel 9 New was less of a Debate and more of Kyle Clark trying to make the Republican candidates look bad. Should we host a real Debate where the Candidates are asked questions on current issues plaguing Colorado and how they would fix them?

@TREEM017813305 Two interesting claims. Now let's see your evidence. Who is the candidate the DNC wants to face in the Gov race and what is the evidence we've eased off on them? I've stated everyone should note my obvious conflict in reporting on the 9NEWS sale but what's your AG bias evidence?
GOP Gov candidate Scott Bottoms says he’d probably offer a role in his administration to his good friend Joe Oltmann, the MAGA podcaster who has called for the executions of the “Synagogue of Satan Jews” running Colorado.
“Assuming it’s not around Jewish people,” Bottoms said.
Smart analysis of the CO Dem Gov primary from @JesseAPaul.
If the Weiser camp is putting out a -6 poll, that's prob the best they've seen.
If the Bennet camp had a poll showing him dominating, they'd release it.
Bennet likely has a high single digit lead, I'd surmise.
This poll tracks with my understanding of the Democratic gubernatorial primary in Colorado, but there are things about this poll and pollster that give me pause.
#1, if this is truly the top lines and they didn't ask for party registration, then wtf.
NEW: Student group 'honors' Boulder, Colorado firebomb attacker, applauds attack in antisemitic post.
Boulder Students for Justice in Palestine, which CU stripped of its recognized status, called the attack the “only sane response available to a rational human being.”
GOP Gov candidate Victor Marx says he doesn’t need to prove his claims about living a life of danger and daring as a high risk missionary.
I asked Marx how voters should decide whether he’s lived one of the most extraordinary lives in human history or if he’s a liar and a fraud.
