Trevon Brazile is a 99th percentile athlete. Nuggets have lacked serious athleticism for a while. I dig it in that regard. Body and tools are there. Lots to work on, obviously, as a second round pick. The poor motor and contact weariness on scouting reports hopefully disappear.
More than happy for Denver to grab either Evans or Thomas if they slide to 35 but doubt they will.
Otherwise, Richie Saunders is still a personal favorite of mine.
Maliq Brown or Bruce Thornton would be good fit selections at that range, too. Both profile for what we need.
Five of the six prospects I loved for Denver are off the board (Richie Saunders remains). I don't mind topping up on seconds here at all. We have nothing in that department so this is smart.
The San Antonio Spurs are trading the No. 35 pick in the second round of the 2026 NBA Draft, a 2031 Sacramento Kings second-round pick, and a 2028 Minnesota Timberwolves second-round pick to the Denver Nuggets for Tarris Reed Jr. https://t.co/QewTBM0fpD
Happy with my drat study this year.
My favs for the Nuggets (top will have to be trade ups) are all guys that got that dawg in them. That's what they've drastically missed.
1) Morez Johnson
2) Dailyn Swain
3) Jayden Quaintance
4) Ebuka Okorie
5) Zuby Ejiofor
6) Richie Saunders
And it's easy to look at it as: Wemby 22yo, Castle 21yo & Harper 20yo and say "they'll be back" but sports are weird. I'd guess they will be but OKC aren't going anywhere. The West is a gauntlet & the East can produce Finals winning teams.
The NBA moves fast and never assumes.
Kudos to the Spurs for making it to The Finals, too. The margin between these two teams was razor thin but ultimately the Knicks executed late in games while the Spurs wilted.
SA are so young. Bright future ahead for them.
I understand that broadcast teams change & that’s just part of the deal. If Winge gets promoted, it could be really good.
It just feels like these two deserved a better send-off than this. Over two-plus decades as the voices of the team. They mean something to Denver.
@ChrisMarlowe You are the voice of the Nuggets, Chris.
Thankyou so much for your passion, professionalism and expertise for these two decades.
You called some of the most iconic Nuggets moments of all-time. They will live on forever with us fans.
You're the greatest at this!
Preach Bill!
It's stunning that the Kroenke's are one of the richest families in the world and have maybe the biggest, wealthiest sports portfolio on earth and yet they cut costs everywhere.
Just pay Peyton and keep everyone! You only get Nikola Jokic once.
Bill Simmons on the Nuggets:
“Why do they have to trade anybody to sign Peyton Watson? You have Jokic in your team, pay everyone, F*** off. Kroenke has a gazillion dollars, just keep everybody AND pay Peyton Watson. Your owner is super rich what are we doing?”

This Thunder team may single handily turn me off the sport of basketball after 30 years of playing as well as watching, reading, listening to every shred of NBA content
I watched a Kobe vs Melo scoring highlight package from the 2009 WCF yesterday and not a single time did either flop or fall over despite getting completely swamped almost every time.
It was cool as heck.
Don't take this duo for granted:
Came off the bench together as rookies.
Built chemistry. Became starters.
Broke the franchise playoff drought.
Multiple 3-1 comebacks.
Broke through to win our first title in 2023.
Iconic all-time NBA duo.
