After doing three days of Offenburg - Strasbourg services I’m doing a German service today, tomorrow one day off ~

@seatsea @Faulbian So I can only suggest, if you really need to go to Strasbourg or Paris on a weekend or holiday, pay the extra money if you can and get a reserved seat in a ICE/TGV or just fly... Use a plane, Strasbourg and Paris do have a airport, too... Otherwise you will suffer. Or go by car.

@Faulbian Naja in Appenweier kommst du immer raus von Strasbourg kommend, da steigt in der Regel der halbe Zug sowieso aus und geht auf den RE in Richtung Karlsruhe. Die ganzen Deutschlandticket Nutzer halt, die damit durch das ganze Bundesgebiet reisen. Erst seit dem ist das auch so krass

@Faulbian Ja, Samstag, es fahren eh weniger Züge von und nach Strasbourg weil Wochenende, das Wetter ist ganz okay und dann noch der Rückreiseverkehr von den Ferien... Also ich bin froh, heute und morgen nicht diese Linie zu fahren und heute einfach frei zu haben.

Was just asked if I could check out one of our German trains before I drive to Strasbourg, apparently the train protection is not working. Yup, can confirm, none of them is working, even after a hard reset 😅 Sent it to the workshop ~ Now doing Offenburg - Strasbourg again.

@JumpUp1991 Und weil das eben nur eine Ausnahme ist, dass die RS 1 da fahren, haben die Franzosen das halt auch nie gestattet, weitere RS 1 umzurüsten, obwohl wir das ja gerne gemacht hätten.

Doing Offenburg - Strasbourg again today. Actually I had a German service today, but a SNCF certified driver called in sick so I was asked to take over his service. So far so chill though, shitty weather, not too many passengers. One of four engines not working on this one though

@JumpUp1991 Eine Ausnahme die nun halt schon seit 23 Jahren besteht, weil man es halt in 23 Jahren nie geschafft hat mal richtige und anständige, elektrische Fahrzeuge auf dieser Linie zu betreiben. Aber es scheiterte immer am gleichen: keiner möchte dafür bezahlen.

@JumpUp1991 Aber als ich heute kurz bei meinen Vorgesetzten war, um etwas abzuholen, habe ich nochmals nachgefragt, ob das jetzt am 14. Juni klappt oder nicht, da wurde ich nur belächelt und mir wurde gesagt, man gehe nicht davon aus, wüsste aber auch noch nichts Neues…

@JumpUp1991 Nope. Auf eine schriftliche Anfrage, die ich unserem Vorstand vor drei Wochen gestellt habe, bekam ich als Antwort nur, dass die Verhandlungen über die Finanzierung zwischen BaWü und Grand-Est noch laufen und man vorsichtig die Prognose „kleiner Fahrplanwechsel im Sommer“ wagt…

And another beautiful day, doing a German service again today, then two days off ~ Actually I was supposed to have a trainee with me today, but when I started my service I was told the trainee asked for a different service with another driver 🤷🏻‍♂️Oh well, not that I mind, silence ~

Doing my German service today, all chill so far, no overcrowded trains ~

- because apparently a man in the rear unit randomly insulted passengers and yelled around and so on. So I was stopped by police for a few minutes, the passenger was then removed from the train by police officers 👍🏻

And I’m doing my last Offenburg - Strasbourg service today, tomorrow and Tuesday I’ll do German services ~ First train from Offenburg to Strasbourg was full to the brim again, nobody left behind though 👍🏻 Had a police incident in my train in Kehl though, passengers called police-
