Leaders need to stand up for their students, recognizing that inequity in education does not disappear on its own. @DOEChancellor @drgoffney #ifnotusthenwho #education

Here is what @ALASEDU leaders are saying is most important to talk about in this crisis: #COVID19 #education #EducationintheTimeofCOVID

We [leaders] are the ones who get in the way of dismantling inequitable policies by not speaking against them. - @DOEChancellor #education #EducationIsARight

"COVID can't become an excuse to continuing inequity." - @drgoffney

[Kyle Wierks @KyleWierks_Te]

The trust that has been built in the past is now helping their community to work together and collaborate. Lead with compassion and empathy - that's what people need right now. Everyone's situation is so different. #TeVirtualEvents #BuildingTrust #TeVE

[ThoughtExchange @thoughtxchng]

These exchanges really help to meet people where they are at. Using the data from these exchanges helps them to make plans and strategically plan their next moves based on the feedback from their community. #TeVirtualEvents

[Kyle Wierks @KyleWierks_Te]

@thoughtxchng Even if we can't hold a physical space, a virtual space can be just as important in these times. #COVID2019

[ThoughtExchange @thoughtxchng]

How to connect? Bring them to a virtual environment. Zoom, Facebook Live, Town Hall Meetings. Use all of these tools together to #keeppeopleconnected. People find comfort with these virtual tools. #TeVirtualEvents #bringpeopletogether

[ThoughtExchange @thoughtxchng]

How are you bringing people together remotely? At first, it was about communicating quickly "what do you need? How can we help". Then we need to know how can we have a conversation about getting you what you need and maintaining connection #Keeppeopleconnected #TeVirtualEvents

[Kyle Wierks @KyleWierks_Te]
