Before NDP try to scare monger re healthcare cuts, important to note that per capita healthcare spending is similar. If you adjust to make it the same AB would still have a $5.3B surplus.
If you are the Eby govt, tell me you are desperate to change the channel without telling me.
July re announcement of a tax change that was talked about extensively in Budget Mar 4 and has always had a Sept 1 implementation date.
This level of debt growth is simply not sustainable. Eby is collecting record levels of taxation yet still racking up record debt. Critical services like Health are worse than ever before, Eby has shown he can’t deliver regardless of how much tax money he throws at a problem.
Happy Canada Day everyone! A HUGE thank you to the Kamloops Multicultural Society, this is the 50th year they have organized the celebrations for all to enjoy. We are so fortunate to live in such a strong, free and diverse country. 🇨🇦
I’ll just leave this here. AB population 4.9 M. Govt spending $74B
$8.3B surplus
BC population 5.7 M. Govt spending $94B
$11 B deficit
That is all
* per capita healthcare spending close to the same. If same AB would still have a $5.3B surplus
Yes, the stunning independence of @BCFerries from the @bcndp gov, w/ an authority board that includes:
- The @bcndp's 2024 election campaign manager
- The former NDP transportation minister in charge of ferries
- Another former NDP MLA
- The former BC Federation of Labour prez
When @icbabc and the Building Trades unions agree, that means 100% of the B.C. construction sector representatives oppose Eby’s Chinese ferry purchase.
BC Ferries independent of NDP government? When previous CEO Mark Collins angered NDP, government sent in former NDP cabinet minister Joy MacPhail who fired Collins at $1 million plus severance and replaced him with Nicolas Jimenez. That’s some independence.
And who still does not have even a MOU with Ontario? Eby and the BC NDP govt. Meanwhile Eby’s off to Asia while all the other Premiers meet with the Prime Minister. Interprovincial trade barriers have a 23% tariff equivalent drag to B.C. econ yet no big moves on this by Eby.
The Premier didn’t cancel Michael Bryant’s contract because it was wrong. He cancelled it because he got caught.
Now he needs to come clean: - How much was paid? - Where’s the work?
This isn’t over. #bcpoli
Over 3 months into a 6 month contract and nothing to show for it, no interim report, no public updates, just a lucrative ($300k+) sweetheart contract to a friend of David Eby with no deliverables attached.

🚨 The NDP can’t be trusted on Infrastructure with Bill 15. 🚨
“Like Bill 7, it is really giving cabinet a lot of arbitrary powers and that’s something I am concerned with.”

Remember, David Eby was the Minister who brought us No Fault & brushed off these types of concerns.
“No-fault means that victims have no right to sue and must accept whatever fixed benefits are set out in the legislation, regardless of the actual loss,” Phillips said in an email.
Nicholas Winton helped 669 Jewish children escape the Nazis and his efforts went unrecognised for 50 years.
Then, in 1988, while sitting as a member of a TV audience, he suddenly found himself surrounded by the kids he had rescued, who were now adults.
Former BC Premier Gordon Campbell on why a vote for Carney is a vote for Canada’s decline 👇
“Most troubles Canada faces were generated by the Liberals, not by Donald Trump.
An election is no time for magical thinking. It is time to get real.”

Thank you to @UNBC from the bottom of my heart for this very special recognition. I love where we live and have been so honoured to advocate and represent this amazing part of British Columbia. Proud of our university and the great work it does! #CityofPG#GratefulHeart
