In 2020, at just 21 years old, our dispatcher Josh Erb was diagnosed with leukemia.

Five years later, during a treatment visit to Cincinnati Children’s, Josh met Bengals captain Ted Karras. Ted spent time with him and gifted him a signed Cincy Hat. A big deal to a big fan.

That visit inspired an idea for Josh.

Today, the Blood Cancer United × The Cincy Hat collaboration is helping support local families facing blood cancer. Every hat purchased helps fund patient support services, advocacy, and lifesaving research through Blood Cancer United, while also supporting The Cincy Hat Foundation’s mission.
