Thank you to Shady Rays for donating 100 pairs of shades for lifeguards and visitors at Camp Taylor Waterpark — helping us kick off opening day in style!
By connecting shooting survivors like BB with support and opportunity, we are working to break the cycle of violence and build safer, stronger communities. This story and this program are the perfect example of our city’s commitment to preventing violence and improving public safety from every possible angle.

There's nothing like spending time together outside, especially when the weather cooperates! Thank you to everyone who joined us out at the waterfront to make this year's Hike, Bike, and Paddle such a wonderful success.
It is so amazing to see the kids of Camp Taylor back at their neighborhood pool! The new water park at Camp Taylor is one of the best pools in the region, and I'm so glad there's another safe, fun place for families to cool off, stay active and enjoy their time together this summer.
It was so wonderful to talk to Maggie, Eldora, and other neighbors in Fairdale this morning about what our city's Senior Nutrition Program means to them.
Congregate meal sites like the one in Fairdale are a lifeline for senior citizens, offering lunch, socialization and activities for those who need it most. That's why even as federal funding cuts threaten the program, I have found the funding to make sure our local government continues to provide these meals.
It's an honor to recognize Alberta O. Jones, a remarkable Louisvillian whose legacy continues to shape our city.
A daughter of Louisville. A civil rights leader. A lawyer. A barrier breaker. A woman that refused to let the world decide what was possible.
This is more than unveiling statue, it’s bringing a story, and a life, into public view, recognizing a woman who helped move this city forward.
Programs like the Academies of Louisville help students discover career paths before they graduate. With opportunities from advanced manufacturing to engineering and skilled trades, these seniors won’t be walking away with just diplomas, they'll have the tools and the opportunities they need to succeed in life.
Thank you to so many local businesses for stepping up to help our young people.
Getting to see women like Donna Barton Brothers and Cherie DeVaux support and celebrate one another was one of the most memorable parts of this year’s Derby. Our city will remember it forever!
What an exciting week it’s been as we’ve welcomed a baby giraffe and now a baby monkey to our @LouisvilleZoo
This is a perfect time to get your membership or make a visit to meet our newest additions to the Louisville Zoo family!
We are not going tolerate illegal establishments that harm our community. This successful operation is a direct result of our strengthened efforts to shut down fraudulent massage establishments that are often fronts for human trafficking operations, including the establishment of a new multi-agency task force and an ordinance that helps us distinguish legitimate businesses from fraudulent ones. I’m grateful for the hard work Director Silveria, his team, and the many other law enforcement partners who helped complete this operation and keep our community safe.
Rach and I are so excited to welcome the YALL class of 2027! You'll see them out and about all year helping make some of our city's biggest events a success. Welcome to public service and welcome to Metro Hall, YALL!
This is another strong vote of confidence in Thrive By 5 Louisville and the framework we’ve created to make early learning more accessible and affordable for families in Louisville.
Early learning and childcare are some of the strongest possible investments for our present and future, and we're going to keep doubling down.
We created Thrive By 5 Louisville to make early learning more accessible and affordable for Louisville families.
Just a few years later, their work is helping families like Echsners afford early learning opportunities that set their children up for success.
Two trailblazers, one historic Derby.
Minutes before her final Kentucky Derby broadcast after a legendary career as a jockey and analyst, Donna was the only member of the broadcast team to pick Golden Tempo as her winner, setting the stage for Cherie DeVaux to become the first woman trainer to win the Kentucky Derby. Cherie & Donna, you have inspired a nation, and you will forever be a part of Louisville's story.
Thank you, Mayor Greenburg. I was truly honored to share a stage with Cherie DeVaux (@reredevaux). On a personal note, I bought my first home in Louisville in 1996 and claimed this town as my own. Thank you for claiming me, back 🙏🏼
For more than three decades, Donna Barton Brothers has broken barriers, inspired generations, and helped tell the story of the Kentucky Derby like no one else.
Today, I was proud to honor her legacy by proclaiming it Donna Barton Brothers Day.
From working her way up on the backside to becoming the first female trainer to win the Kentucky Derby, Cherie DeVaux's legacy has been formed in Louisville.
Today, I was proud to make her an honorary citizen.
