The woman calmly asked why.

With a hint of irritation, the teller handed the card back and replied, “Those are the rules. If there’s nothing else, please step aside there are other customers waiting.”

The woman paused, then returned the card.
“In that case, I’d like to withdraw all the money in my account.”

Curious, the teller checked her balance and froze. $300,000.

Her tone immediately changed. Leaning forward politely, she said, “Ma’am, we don’t have that amount of cash available right now. Could you schedule an appointment and come back tomorrow?”

The woman nodded. “So how much can I withdraw today?”

“Up to $3,000,” the teller replied.

“Alright then, I’ll take $3,000.”

Moments later, the teller handed over the cash—this time with a warm smile.

The woman counted it, slipped $10 into her purse, and handed the rest back.
“Please deposit $2,990 into my account.”

Moral:
Never underestimate people especially the elderly. They’ve mastered patience, wisdom, and timing in ways you can’t always see.
